Urban, Maduri Conquer PDRA American Door Slammer Challenge

Donny Urban and Pete Maduri both visited the winners circle at the PDRA American Door Slammer Challenge at Summit Motorsports Park.

NORWALK, OH – Donny Urban and Pete Maduri conquered the PDRA American Door Slammer Challenge at Summit Motorsports Park to pick up the trophies in Elite Top Sportsman and Elite Top Dragster, respectively.

Joining them in the winners circle were Chad Traylor (TS), TG Paschal (TD), Brayden Davis (PJD), Gavin Wood (TJD), and Rick Hustwayte (BB).

PDRA American Door Slammer Challenge

Elite Top Sportsman

Donny Urban defeated Bryan LaFlam in the final round to pickup the trophy. LaFlam had the starting line advantage, .026 to .037, but on a double breakout handed the win over to Urban. Urban ran a 3.785 at 196 mph on his 3.79 dial-in.

Tim Molnar and Glenn Butcher were the semi-finalists.

Elite Top Dragster

Pete Maduri defeated Robert Pickens in the final round to pick up the trophy. Pickens was -.010 at the hit to hand the win over to Maduri, who was .027 and ran a 3.751 at 195 mph on his 3.74 dial-in.

Alan O’Brien and Larry Roberts were the semi-finalists.

Top Sportsman

Gary Wojnowski defeated Andy Horne in the final round to pick up the trophy in Top Sportsman. Horne broke on the line to give the win to Wojnowski, who was .012 and ran a 4.285 at 161 mph.

Bob Mandell was the semi-finalist.

Top Dragster

TG Paschal defeated Rikki Molnar in the final round to take home the trophy. Paschal had the starting line advantage, .020 to .051, and turned it into a win-light running a 4.312 at 147 mph on his 4.28 dial-in.

Dickie Smith was the semi-finalist.

Pro Jr. Dragster

Gabe Wojnowski picked up the trophy after defeating Zach Shirkey in the final round. Wojnowski was .055 up front and ran a 7.904 at 82 mph on his 7.90 dial-in, making Shirkey mathematically ineligible at the hit.

Mallory Logan and Carson Hoyle were the semi-finalists.

Top Jr. Dragster

James Beattie III defeated Colin Masullo in the final round to pick up the win. Masullo turned it -.043 at the hit, handing the win over to Beattie III who was .141 up front and ran a 9.252 at 73 mph on his 9.22 dial-in.

Wyatt Stanley and TJ Harvey were the semi-finalists.

Bracket Bash

Joe Soucek Jr. took home the win after defeating Ryan Pickens in the final round. Soucek Jr. had the starting line advantage, .012 to .027, and turned it into a win-light running a 6.575 at 103 mph on his 6.56 dial-in.

Lewie Wortman III was the semi-finalist.

Megan Bohannon is a 25 year old Super Comp racer from Louisville, Kentucky. She races a 2015 American Dragster with a 648 Oakley Motorsports Engine. Growing up at the racetrack, drag racing is all she has known and never plans to give up on it.
