Varner Family Dominates Carolina Dragway Race #3 and #4

Fourteen racers claimed wins at Carolina Dragway’s NHRA Summit Bracket Series Points Race #3 & #4.

AIKEN, SC- Carolina Dragway held their Race #3 & #4 of their NHRA Summit Bracket Series Points Race on April 22-23, 2023. Classes at this two-day event included: Super Pro, Pro, Motorcycles, Sportsman and Junior Dragsters. 

The next NHRA Summit Bracket Series Points weekend at Carolina Dragway will be May 20-21, 2023.

Saturday Results

Super Pro

Kevin Pruett claimed the Saturday Super Pro win over John Hodson.

Pro

Scott Ringer Jr. earned the Saturday Pro final round win over Jennifer Varner.

Derek Varner was the lone semi-finalist.

Sportsman

Race King captured the Saturday Sportsman final round win over Dustin Carroll.

Danny Towe was the semi-finalist.

Motorcycle

In Saturday’s Motorcycle class, Tim Sutton picked up the win over John Loney.

Drew Queen was the semi-finalist.

Advanced Jr. Dragster

Grace Varner captured the Advanced Jr. Dragster final round win over her brother, Josiah Varner.

Samantha Wyndham and Kyle Chapman were the semi-finalists.

Intermediate Jr. Dragster

Jesse Varner picked up the win over Bryant Crawford in the Saturday Intermediate Jr. Dragster class.

Victoria Beaner and John Varner were the semi-finalists.

Beginner Jr. Dragster

In Saturday’s Beginner Jr. Dragster class, Kate Ward claimed the final round win over Kason King.

Rylan Lee was the lone semi-finalist.

Sunday Results

Super Pro

In Sunday’s Super Pro class, Harrison Crawford picked up the win over Paige Brown.

Robbie Callahan was the lone semi-finalist.

Pro

In her second Pro final round of the weekend, Jennifer Varner seals the deal and picks up the win over Matt Ward.

Greg Allen was the semi-finalist.

Sportsman

Harold Wilson claimed the Sunday Sportsman win over Dustin Carroll.

Cassie Wright was the lone semi-finalist.

Motorcycle

In Sunday’s Motorcycle class, Tim Sutton picked up the final round win over Rodney Gantt.

The lone semi-finalist was John Loney.

Advanced Jr. Dragster

Kyle Chapman earned the Sunday Advanced Jr. Dragster win over Kamryn Majors.

Kaden Pruett and Hayden Land were the semi-finalists.

Intermediate Jr. Dragster

Jesse Varner claimed the Intermediate Jr. Dragster win once again. This time, he took the win over Landon Pruett.

Bryant Crawford was the semi-finalist.

Beginner Jr. Dragster

Kate Ward also picked up the Beginner Jr. Dragster win for the second time. This time, Waylon Gay was the runner-up finisher.

Rylan Lee & Kason King were the semi-finalists.
