Wes May Crowned $50K Champion at SFG 1.1 Million

Wes May drove to the winners circle in the S&W $50K event on Wednesday evening at the SFG 1.1 Million at US 131 Motorsports Park.

MARTIN, MI –Wes May was crowned the S&W Race Cars $50,000 winner at the SFG 1.1 Million at US 131 Motorsports Park. The final round came down between Wes May and Timothy Thomas, with May being crowned as the S&W $50K race winner.

Both drivers were strong all day long, but May came out on top and picked up the win.

Derek Denney was crowned the inaugural SFG Super Comp Champion after defeating Lauren Freer in the final round. Denney battled through a 6-car field to come out on top in the winner’s circle.

On the dragster side, Thomas took his bye run to head to the final round.

On the door-car side, May defeated Joel Young. May was in full control at the hit and turned it into a win-light, he was .010 total to lock out Young.

Finals

In the final round, May was .027 total to pick up the trophy over Thomas who was .008 and took too much stripe to be 1 thou under.
