Whitmore & Blakely Collect Wins at Cowtown Winter Throwdown

Shaud Blakely and Jalen Whitmore collected wins at the 6th Annual Charlie Stewart Race Cars Cowtown Winter Throwdown Practice Tree Race.

KENNEDALE, TX- With racing at a halt during the off-season, many racers look forward to the numerous practice tree races across the nation. Earlier this month, Ryan Gleghorn and Nathan Martin held their 6th Annual Charlie Stewart Race Cars Cowtown Winter Throwdown Practice Tree Race on Saturday, January 7, 2023. The event featured a $500-to-win Warm-up Race and a $5,000-to-win Main Event. There was also a $500 Bottom Bulb Bonus for the last standing Bottom Bulb racer in competition.

Over 220 entires from multiple states competed for the top prize and just two racers, Shaud Blakely and Jalen Whitmore walked away with wins.

Shaud Blakely claimed the $500 Warm-up race win over Steve Adams.

Wyatt Ezell earned the Bottom Bulb Bonus in the Warm-up race.

DragCoverage Main Event- $5,000-to-win

Jalen Whitmore defeated Bobo Marshall in the DragCoverage $5,000 Main Event final round.

The semi-finalists were Casey Holtzman and Maxwell McGlothin.
