Witherow, Gulitti Shine at Sean Serra Memorial Drag Race

Steve Witherow and Cory Gulitti visited the winners circle at the Inaugural Sean Serra Memorial Drag Race at Darlington Dragway.

HARTSVILLE, SC – Hundreds of racers traveled to Darlington Dragway to honor the life of Sean Serra, and incredible friend, brother, and drag racer. Big Block Promotions kicked off the weekend with a golf cart race on Thursday, and paid out big money on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately rain caused the team to cancel on Sunday.

Box raced for $13,900 on Friday and $20,000 on Saturday. Heavy (no-box) ran separate for a $500 until one remained, then they were moved into the main event.

Stephen McCrory and Kayla Costello visited the winner’s circle on Thursday evening after being victorious in the golf cart race.

Steve Witherow parked his dragster in the winner’s circle after defeating Thomas Bell in the final round.

Jamie Holston was the semi-finalist.

Jake Clayton was the Heavy bonus winner.

Fueltech Saturday

Cory Gulitti kept on his hot streak and found himself in the winner’s circle on Saturday evening after defeating Turtle Brannon in the final round to pick up the $20,000 check.

Jeff Dobbins II and Hayden Lambert were the semi-finalists.

Jeff Krushinskie was the Heavy bonus winner.
