D’Agnolo, Strickland Shine at NHRA Gatornationals
Pete D’Agnolo and Jeff Strickland led the leaderboard at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL.
GAINESVILLE, FL – Pete D’Agnolo and Jeff Strickland visited the winners circle to kick off the 2023 NHRA season in Gainesville, Florida for the NHRA Gatornationals on Sunday afternoon for the second consecutive year.
2022 NHRA World Champion D’Agnolo kept on his winning streak, while Strickland made it know he was never really “gone” after taking a year off last year.

D’Agnolo picked up the Wally in Super Stock, while Strickland picked up the Wally in Stock.
Joining them in the winner’s circle was Jim Greenheck (Comp), Mike Robilotto (SC), John Taylor (SG), Colby Fuller (SST), and Doug Crumlich (TS).

2023 Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals
Competition Eliminator

Jim Greenheck took home his third career win after defeating Joseph Arrowsmith in the final round. Greenheck was .063 and ran a 7.599 at 169 mph on his 8.12 index to head to the winners circle.
Rodger Brogdon was the semi-finalist.
Super Stock

2022 NHRA Super Stock World Champion Peter D’Agnolo kept on his hot streak and took home his sixth career Wally after defeating Kevin Helms in the final round. Helms had to starting line advantage, .008 to .021, but on a double-breakout D’Agnolo got it by .004 at the stripe.
Semi-finalists were Bryan Worner and David Barton.
Stock Eliminator

Jeff Strickland collected his 20th career Wally after defeating Brenda Grubbs in the final round. Grubbs had the starting line advantage, .025 to .036, btu Strickland ran a 9.269 at 144 mph on his 9.26 dial-in to get there first by .011.
John Gray and Tommy Turner were the semi-finalists.
Super Comp

Mike Robilotto defeated Kent Hanley in the final round to collect his fifth career NHRA Wally. Robilotto had the starting line advantage, .013 to .024, and ran an 8.880 at 178 mph on the 8.90 index to pick up the Wally.
Hugh Meeks and Michael Handras were the semi-finalists.
Super Gas

John Taylor picked up his fifth career win after defeating Jeff Jensen in the final round. Taylor had the starting line advantage, .005 to .020, and turned it into a win light running a 9.923 at 162 mph on the 9.90 index.
Rusty Cook was the semi-finalist.
Super Street

Colby Fuller picked up his first career NHRA National event Wally after defeating Dan Fletcher in the final round. Colby had the starting line advantage, .012 to .018, and ran a 10.928 on the 10.90 index to get there first by .002 and head to the winners circle.
Brad Plourd was the semi-finalist.
Top Sportsman

Doug Crumlich defeated Mark Buehring in the final round to take home his second NHRA National event Wally. Crumlich had the starting line advantage, .015 to .027, and turned it into a win light running a 6.595 at 209 mph on his 6.57 dial-in.
Curt Fredrich and Ronnie Proctor were the semi-finalist.
