Emmy Pires captured two wins and a runner-up at the D7 JDRL Challenge to lead the DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 List presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance.

6/7/23 – Welcome to the DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 List presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance. Each week we rank the best Jr. racers across the country based on their weekly performances. Nominations are accepted every Monday evening on our Facebook page.

DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 List

1 – Emmy Pires

Emmy Pires collected lots of hardware from this past weekend’s NHRA D7 JDRL Challenge at Sacramento Raceway Park! In Jr. Comp, she won on Saturday against her sister, Bella and on Sunday she picked up the runner-up. In addition, Emmy also earned a win in her Junior Dragster on Sunday.

2 – CJ Short

CJ Short doubled-up this past weekend at London Dragway to earn the second spot on the Top 10 list! This makes three straight finals in a row for CJ.

3 – Bodie Carlson

After his double-up last weekend, Bodie Carlson picked up a win and runner-up in the Junior Dragster class this past weekend at Brainerd International Raceway to claim the third spot on the Top 10 list.

4 – Easton Hodge

Easton Hodge claimed a win at Kil-Kare Raceway on Saturday and also picked up a runner-up on Sunday at Beech Bend Raceway Park. Last weekend, he was also in the Winner’s Circle at the Final Call Promotions Bernie Mann Memorial.

5 – Grace Varner

Grace Varner rounds out the top 5 by taking home the win twice this past weekend at North Florida Motorplex. In her last six weekends, she has had six wins and one runner-up!

6 – Jace Sexton

Jace Sexton claimed back-to-back wins at two different tracks this past weekend to earn the 6th spot on the Top 10 list. Her win on Saturday was at Thornhill Drag Strip and her win on Sunday was at Edgewater Motorsports Park. She also got the share the Winner’s Circle with her Mom, Courtney on Sunday!

7 – Kane Kern

Kane Kern picked up the Masters and Quick 16 win at the Southwest Jr. Dragster Series East Texas Showdown to claim the 7th spot on the Top 10 list.

8 – Ayden Tilghman

In his last five races, Ayden Tilghman has picked up three wins with his most two recent wins coming from this past weekend at Roxboro Motorsports Park.

9 (Tie) – Jack Beutler

Jake Beutler parked his ride in the Winner’s Circle not once but twice this past weekend at Onawa Dragway.

9 (Tie) – Jonathan Mackey

Jonathan Mackey also scored a spot on the list for his 7.90 class double-up wins at Silver Dollar Motorsports Park.

10 – Big Money Race Winners

Dexter Gomez

Dexter Gomez cashed in for $2,000 by picking up the Saturday Jr. Dragster win at the Spring King of the Creek event at Maryland International Raceway.

Peyton Bunch

Peyton Bunch captured the $2,000 Sunday Jr. Dragster win at the Spring King of the Creek race at Maryland International Raceway.

Max Pavlock

Max Pavlock took home the $1,000-to-win All Run Big Money class win at the SWJDS East Texas Showdown. He is now the youngest driver to ever win an All Run Big Money Race in the series.
