DragChamp Top 10 List
1 – Charlie Lockhart
Coming off a big weekend in Las Vegas where he won the No-Box class on Wednesday and made the split in the Million at the Spring Fling, Charlie Lockhart doubled up at Holly Springs to lead the Top 10 List. Charlie picked up the first win in his S-10 on Friday night and took his second entry to the semifinals. On Saturday, he jumped in his Monza and duplicated Friday’s performance with another win combined with semifinal finish.
2 – Kyle Rizzoli
Kyle Rizzoli has been on a tear this season on the West Coast NHRA tour. After winning Stock at the Winternationals a couple weeks ago, Rizzoli went back-to-back after winning the 4-Wide Nationals in Vegas on Sunday. The final was his fourth on the season as he added two runner-ups on the LODRS trail earlier in the season.
3 – Kevin Brannon
Kevin Brannon wins big again! This time cashing for $20,000 at the first Staging Light Promotions Southern Doorcar Showdown at Darlington.
4 – Jeffrey Jones
Jeffery Jones grabs the four spot this week after joining Kevin Brannon with a $20,000 win at Darlington.
5 – Nick Scheckelhoff
Nick Scheckelhoff grabs a top 5 spot after winning three times last week at Dragway 42. Scheckelhoff won the 6.50 Pro Tree Index class on Saturday and Sunday. He added a No-Box victory on Sunday to complete the hat trick.
6 – Derrick Patton
Derrick Patton continues to find his way to final rounds this season. This past weekend he pulled off the double at the Texas Motorplex Texas Truck Jam to secure his 6th win of the season in 7 final round showings. By the way, he’s only raced his Maverick six times this year and has made seven finals with it!
7 – Jared Ledford
Jared Ledford grabs a Top 10 spot after winning twice last weekend. He kicked off the weekend with a Gamblers race win at the Ultimate 64 Mini and finished the weekend with Super Pro victory at Dragway 42.
8 – Tommy Jackson II
Tommy Jackson II overcame some struggles but ended up racing himself in the final at Holly Springs this past weekend.
9 – Andy Lloyd
Andy Lloyd picked up the MVP of the Staging Light Promotions Southern Door Car Showdown after racing to a runner-up and two semifinal finishes at the twin $20K’s. Lloyd ran himself in the semifinals in the first race before taking runner-up honors to Jeffery Jones and fell in the semi’s in the second race.
10 – Brad Burton
Brad Burton picked up his second national event Wally of the season after winning Super Stock at the 4-Wide Nationals. This was his fourth final of the season after earning two runner-up finishes earlier in the season.
