DragChamp Top 10 List

1 – Tommy Plott

Tommy Plott grabs the #1 spot this week after cashing for $100,000 at the Spring Fling Galot. Plott defeated the “Doughboy” Donovan Williams in the final round to earn his second Spring Fling trophy.

2 – Sherman Adcock

Sherman Adcock has enjoyed an almost perfect season in his Super Gas roadster this year. After starting the year going 4 for 4 in the D2 LODRS series, Adcock hit the jackpot once again last weekend at the NHRA 4Wide Nationals in Charlotte. He has now won five times in six races this season.

3 – Tyler Caheely

Tyler Caheely followed up his near double last weekend at Silver Dollar with a runner-up in Super Stock at the NHRA 4Wide Nationals. The runner-up in Charlotte followed his Super Stock win and Top Sportsman runner-up the previous weekend. (Picture is from his Super Stock victory at Silver Dollar)

4 – Wesley Lockhart

Wesley Lockhart made three final rounds last weekend at Beacon Dragway. He split two No-Box finals with his brother Charlie and also added a runner-up in the Top Bulb class.

5 – Will Holloman

Will Holloman had a big week at the Spring Fling Galot which saw him collect his second Fling trophy in Wednesday’s $15K while also earning the MVP award.

6 – Matt Costabile

Matt Costabile parked his 3rd-Gen Camaro in the Fling winners circle for $50,000 to earn a Top 10 showing.

6 – Makenna Brown

Makenna Brown jumped in the Burleson Construction dragster at the Fling and proceeded to win the $20,000 Shootout for her first Fling victory!

7 – Charlie Lockhart

Charlie Lockhart seems to be back in top form as he’s enjoyed considerable success in the first couple months of the racing season. Last weekend Charlie made two No-Box finals at Beacon Dragway where he faced his brother Wesley both times. The brothers split the finals with each grabbing a win and a loss.

7 – Heath Davis

Heath Davis followed his split & quit $5K final with Brad Plourd a couple weeks ago with a near double last weekend at the Goodtime. Davis made two finals earning a win and a runner-up to earn a Top 10 spot.

8 – Jake Howard

Jake Howard’s Fireturd has been fighting him for the last couple months but it looks like it’s treating him better after earning a win and a runner-up Saturday night at the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular at Xtreme Raceway Park.

8 – James Black

James Black earns his first Top 10 showing after making three finals in the last three weeks. Black picked up two wins in his three finals.

9 – BMP Spring Breeze $15,000 Winners

The Brainerd Motorsports Park Spring Breeze Triples turned into two $15K’s due to inclement weather. Ron Lane picked up the first $15K win Friday night and Wyatt Miles earned the win in Saturday’s $15K.

10 – Trampus Stewart

Trampus Stewart closes out the Top 10 List this week after a dominating weekend at the BTE King of the Coast race at Gulfport Dragway. In Saturday’s main event, Stewart was doubled at five cars and ended the night with semifinal showing. He was even better on Sunday when he earned the Super Pro victory over Steven Barnett.
