Hoffman lets go .001 red and sends Maddox into the final round with his .017 total package. Ramey gets to the finish line by .015 but runs one thousandth too quick beside Robinson who is .018 up front and runs two above his dial for the win.

The semifinal also included Lauren Edwards from Coastal Plains Raceway and two representatives from Farmington Dragway: Ricky Greer and David Stebner. Greer turns on the red bulb by seven thousandths while Edwards is .046 green to advance into the final round.

Sportsman Gamblers Race

For footbrake drivers on the so-called slower side, the Sportsman class provides an opportunity to compete against drivers who can dial no quicker than 7.50 in the eighth mile. The final three racers were Doug Dochterman from Union Dragway, Ronnie Forrester from Greer Dragway, and Cody Oxner from Ware Shoals Dragway. Dochterman ran dead on his 8.75 dial but couldn’t overcome Oxner’s .007 reaction time who takes the .010 margin of victory. Forrester coasts into the final round courtesy of the bye run.

In the final, Forrester converts his seven-hundredths starting line advantage into a double-breakout victory over Oxner and picks up the first win for Team Greer Dragway.

Junior Dragster Gamblers Race

Junior Dragster drivers may be some of the youngest on the property but can often find themselves putting together runs that would envy adults. The sixth round consisted of three drivers: Jadyn Price representing Union Dragway, Anna Canfield from Ware Shoals Dragway, and Ava Badgett from Farmington Dragway. Price is barely on the wrong side of perfection when she is red by three ten-thousandths of a second and runs 7.5202 on her 7.52 dial beside Badgett who is .019 green up front and runs one above to advance. Canfield earned a stress-free ticket to the final round via the bye run.

The last win light illuminates for Ware Shoals Dragway as Canfield is .004 on the tree and takes .002 at the stripe to earn the win over Badgett, who is .021 and runs one above her dial in.
