2nd Annual Sean Serra Memorial Drag Race Heads to Darlington
Over 139,000 in total payouts over three big days of racing at the 2nd Annual Sean Serra Memorial Drag Race June 6-9, 2024 at Darlington Dragway.
HARTSVILLE, SC- Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Sean Serra Memorial Drag Race, taking place on June 6-9, 2024, at Darlington Dragway. In 2022, we lost one of Bracket Racing’s very best, Sean Serra. To commemorate his legacy, Big Block Promotions started this race, now in its second year. The event will showcase three $21,390-to-win races over three days in addition to the Paul Campanella’s Auto & Tire Fast 48 1000′ Shootout on Thursday. Racers can also enjoy event extras such as the Overkill Motorsports golf cart showdown, racer party, jet car exhibition passes, a fireworks display, and the always thrilling Team W Racing Products Burnout Battle & FTI On-Site Wheelstand Showdown.

Paul Campanella’s Auto & Tire Center Fast 48 1000′ Shootout
Sean loved him some 1000’ racing! Paul Campanella’s Auto & Tire Fast 48 1000′ Shootout will be contested on Thursday with a scheduled time slot at 2PM. This shootout will be open to the first 48 entires and pre-entry will open Saturday 4/20/2024 at 12pm EST. The $139 deposit will be due at sign up with the remaining $200 due at gate. Main Events– $21,390-to-win
Each day from Friday through Sunday will feature a $21,390-to-win race, with $4,200 awarded to the runner-ups and $1,500 to semi-finalists. Round money of $150 will start from the 3rd round winners onwards. Double entries are allowed for driver or car (2x max). Door cars and dragsters will run separately until the ladder round. The day sponsors include Big Block Promotions, FuelTech, and TRC Custom Carbs & Performance Parts.

Drag Race Solutions Heavy Footbrake
Footbrake will run separately until only one car remains. Additionally, the Drag Race Solutions Footbrake bonus will be $1,000, and the winner will advance into the main event.
Jake Clayton and Jeff Krushinskie were the 2023 Heavy Bonus winners.
Entry Fees
The three-race weekend entry fee is $600 and the single day entry fee is $225. You may also purchase a weekend double entry fee for $1,150. The 1st round re-entry fee will be $160 if you fail to turn on the first round win light.
Event Extras
Overkill Motorsports Golf Cart Showdown
Thursday night will feature the Overkill Motorsports Golf Cart Showdown and it will have 100% payback and live coverage. The winner will take home 50%, Runner-up 25%, and semi-finalists $12.5%. The entry fee is $25 and there can be up to 4 entries per cart.
Saturday Night Racer Party + More
Saturday night will feature a racer party at 10PM, fireworks, jet cars exhibition passes, FTI On-Site Wheelstand Showdown, and Team W Racing Products Burnout Battle.
FTI On-Site Wheelstand Showdown
The winner of the FTI On-Site Wheelstand Showdown will take home $500 cash and a FTI Torque Converter. Qualify for the night time show throughout Saturday eliminations.
Team W Racing Products Burnout Battle
The Team W Racing Products Burnout Battle winner will receive $500 cash and a Hoosier Tire Certificate for their best burnout in Saturday’s night time show. Racers will qualify for the night time show throughout Saturday eliminations.
MVP Award
The driver who earns the most round wins over three days will earn a custom painted devil ray helmet courtesy of Champs Performance and Schuster Paint Works.
