April 2024 Car of the Month – Dylan Rallinson

Dylan Rallinson and his 2008 American dragster win the DragChamp Car of the Month contest

April 22, 2024 – DragChamp Pro member Dylan Rallinson of Bastrop, LA captures the April Car of the Month title with his 2008 American dragster. Dylan purchased the car three years ago and has completely refurbished the car after it sat almost untouched since 2008.

The dragster is powered by a 505 cubic inch big block Chevy paired with an APD 1050 Dominator and a powerglide transmission. Dylan joked the stock block came out of a dump truck, lol.

After sitting since 2008, the car needed updating to current standards. Dylan and his family added a MSD Grid ignition along with a healthy dose of K&R Performance products including all new electronics. In addition to updating the electronics, they added new wheels, tires, and powdercoat.

Dylan added, “the car works great and has bailed me out numerous times and turned on a lot of winlights for me.” The pair have made a formidable team as Dylan has been in numerous big money finals over the last six months.
