Back, Francisco dominate at Kil-Kare’s Freak Fest

Logan Back and Jimmy Francisco led the weekend as Kil-Kare Raceway turned spooky for the Halloween Freak Fest race.

XENIA, OH – Racers traveled to Kil-Kare Raceway for the Halloween Freak Fest over the weekend for one of the last chances at winning some big money before the 2024 season concludes.

Logan Back and Jimmy Francisco sat on top for the weekend, as Back picked up two big checks and Francisco found himself in the runner-up spot all 3 days.

Kil-Kare Halloween Freak Fest Results

Friday

Logan Back picked up his first big check of the weekend over Jimmy Francisco in the final round. He was .012 total to lock out Francisco, who was a close .014 on the tree.

Mike Collier was victorious over Taylor Cook in Friday’s shootout. Collier was .016 up front and ran a 6.761 on his 6.75 dial-in to head to the winner’s circle.

Saturday

Ronnie King cashed in big and defeated Jimmy Francisco in the final round to win the big check. Francisco was -.006 at the hit to hand the easy win over to King, who was .011 and ran a 5.970 on his 5.97 dial-in.

Leah Varner defeated Tanner Martin in the junior dragster final round.

Sunday

Logan Back and Jimmy Francisco found their way to their second final round of the weekend together, and Back came out on the winning side of it again. He was .000 and 5 thou under his 6.28 dial-in to win the trophy, while Francisco was .012 and ran a 5.583 on his 5.60 dial-in.

Brayden Gilden defeated Arabella Kendall in the junior dragster final round.

An avid racer herself, Megan Strassweg, 28, sees her two worlds collide with DragChamp – journalism and drag racing. Megan resides in Evansville, IN, and she pilots a 2015 American Dragster in the NHRA North Central Division 3 Super Comp series, along with some local bracket racing on the side. Her passion for racing began early, having grown up at the racetrack, and she remains committed to the sport.
