Thrift, Ingram Win at PDRA American Doorslammer Challenge

Bruce Thrift and KC Ingram both visited the winners circle at the PDRA American Doorslammer Challenge at Summit Motorsports Park.

NORWALK, OH – Bruce Thrift and KC Ingram conquered the PDRA American Doorslammer Challenge at Summit Motorsports Park to pick up the trophies in Elite Top Sportsman and Elite Top Dragster, respectively.

Joining them in the winners circle were Mike Alexander Jr. (TS), Richie Allen (TD), Carson Hoyle (PJD), Lexus Trauth (TJD), and Brittanie Ulmer (BB).

PDRA American Doorslammer Challenge

Elite Top Sportsman

Bruce Thrift defeated Kevin Brannon in the final round to pick up the trophy. Brannon broke to give Thrift the free ride to the winner’s circle. He took the tree and coasted down the track.

Cheyenne Stanley and Jamie Fowler were the semi-finalists.

Elite Top Dragster

KC Ingram defeated Kyle Harris in the final round to pick up the trophy. Ingram had the starting line advantage, .011 to .064, and ran a 3.814 at 168 mph on his 3.75 dial-in to head to the winner’s circle.

Blake Peavler and Brian Anderson were the semi-finalists.

Top Sportsman

Mike Alexander Jr. defeated Mark Reese in the final round to pick up the trophy in Top Sportsman. A coin flip at the tree, .017 to .018, Alexander Jr. got to the stripe first and ran a 4.186 at 170 mph on his 4.16 dial-in

Jeff Melnick was the semi-finalist.

Top Dragster

Richie Allen defeated Kirby McLennan in the final round to take home the trophy. Allen put up an .017 package to lock McLennan out at the hit, running a 4.137 at 165 mph on his 4.12 dial-in.

Troy Williams was the semi-finalist.

Pro Jr. Dragster

Carson Hoyle picked up the trophy after defeating Mallory Mattox in the final round. He was .026 up front and ran a 7.895 at 81 mph on the 7.90 index.

Alyssa Rabon and Chris Suppers were the semi-finalists.

Top Jr. Dragster

Lexus Trauth defeated Kylie Varnier in the final round to pick up the win. She was .047 up front and ran a 9.018 at 70 mph on her 8.99 dial-in.

Madison Pickens and Braydon Crayton were the semi-finalists.

Bracket Bash

Brittanie Ulmer defeated Bernard Weaver in the final round to pick up the win. She was .017 up front and ran a 4.886 at 127 mph on her 4.84 dial-in after Weaver was red at the hit.

Max Butcher and Frank Brank were the semi-finalists.

Megan Strassweg

Megan Bohannon is a 26 year old Super Comp racer from Louisville, Kentucky. She races a 2015 American Dragster with a 648 Oakley Motorsports Engine. Growing up at the racetrack, drag racing is all she has known and never plans to give up on it. Megan works with TB Promotions in promoting their races and keeping entries straight, as well as keeping their social media pages updated.
