JULIAN, NC- Celebrate the upcoming holiday weekend with thrilling Footbrake competition at the Coalburg Racing Promotions Inaugural BTE Thanksgiving Footbrake Challenge, coming to Piedmont Dragway, November 29-30, 2024!

Gather with friends, family, and fellow racers for a chance to win big with twin $20,000-to-win Main Events—no pre-entry required. Just roll up to the gate, pay the $400 weekend entry fee, and you’re in. All purses are 100% guaranteed, and 2nd round winners will get paid each day.

Even if you’re stuffed from turkey and can’t make it to the track, MotorMania TV, with support from Wood Family Racing, will have you covered with live-stream coverage, so you won’t miss a moment of the action from home.

Twin $20,000 Main Events

Friday and Saturday will each feature a $20,000-to-win main event and $5,000 to the runner-up, with $1,000 payouts for semi-finalists. Round money starts with second-round winners ($50). 

If you don’t light the win bulb in the first round, no worries! You can pay $100 to enter the re-entry round, where those winners will advance into the second round of the main event.

This is a gate entry event, with a weekend discount available when purchasing a weekend entry at arrival. The weekend entry fee is $400, granting you one entry into each $20K event. If you prefer to race for just one day, single-day entry is $250.

Event Extras

The Inaugural BTE Thanksgiving Footbrake Challenge is partnering with Sox & Martin to offer a special incentive for MOPAR racers attending the event. This incentive applies exclusively to MOPAR cars powered by MOPAR engines.

Sox & Martin will reward the last-standing MOPAR racer each day (Friday and Saturday) with $400 for their efforts. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by the best reaction time among the tied racers.

Special thanks go to Mike McCandless, founder of The McCandless Collection and owner of the Sox & Martin brand, for bringing this sponsorship to the event and supporting the MOPAR racers in attendance. McCandless, a member of a legendary MOPAR family, aims to show meaningful support for a brand that has been deeply significant to him and his family for many decades.

Also, Threesome Auto Center will be awarding $250 per round, for rounds 1-3, to the best losing package on both Friday and Saturday.
