West Texas Showdown Coming to Penwell Knights Raceway

Mark your calendars for the upcoming CP Promotions GreenDirt West Texas Showdown presented by Tom Thorp Transports at Penwell Knights Raceway, from April 26-28, 2024.

ODESSA, TX- The CP Promotions GreenDirt West Texas Showdown, presented by Tom Thorp Transports, is set to ignite Penwell Knights Raceway from April 26-28, 2024! Prepare for a weekend packed with bracket racing action featuring Box $10Ks, No Box $5Ks, and $2,500-to-win Junior Dragster main events. But that’s not all! There will also be Gamblers Races on Friday night and the Robert Hudgins Memorial Saturday night $10K Box and $5K No Box Shootouts presented by SDPC Raceshop.

DXD Filter & Supply Box $10K Main Events

Both Saturday and Sunday are set to host exhilarating DXD Filter & Supply Box Main Events with a grand prize of $7,500 for the winner, escalating to $10,000 if entries surpass 200. Runner-ups won’t leave empty-handed, securing $2,000, while semi-finalists will bag $500.

The single-day entry fee stands at $150 and the 2-race weekend entry fee is $200. There will also be a 1st or 2nd round buyback available at $100. If there are over 200 entries, it was only be 1st round buyback. Payouts are based on 165 entries.

No Box $5K Main Events

No Box racers will compete for a thrilling $5,000 prize each day, while the runner-up will claim $800 and semi-finalists will receive $300.

The single-day entry fee stands at $125, with a $50 buyback available for the first or second round. There will be a first round buyback only if there are over 200 entries. Payouts are calculated based on 100 entries. The two-race weekend entry is $175.

ISS Ignition Service & Supply Inc. Jr. Dragster $2,500 Main Events

ISS Ignition Service & Supply Inc. Junior Dragster racers are welcomed to join the excitement, competing for a $2,500-to-win prize each day. The runner-up will secure $400, while semi-finalists will proudly take home $200.

For single-day participation, the entry fee is $125, or racers can opt for a two-race weekend entry fee priced at $150. Additionally, a first-round buyback is available for $40. There is no minimum car count and it is a guaranteed payout!

Friday Gamblers Races

$5K Box Gamblers

Friday night lights up with the highly anticipated $5,000-to-win Box Gamblers race! The runner-up takes home a cool $1,000, while semi-finalists earn $500 each. Secure your spot in the action with an entry fee of $100, and don’t fret if luck isn’t initially on your side—a 1st round buyback option is available for just $30. Purse is based on 80 entries.

$3K No Box Gamblers

Gear up for the No Box Gamblers Race, where the winner will take home a thrilling $3,000 prize, while the runner-up secures $800, and semi-finalists earn $400. Entry fee stands at $75, with a $40 1st round buyback option available. The payout structure is based on 70 entries.

$1,500 Jr Dragster Gamblers

Junior Dragsters takes center stage in the Friday Night Jr Gamblers Race, where competitors will race for a $1,500 prize. The runner-up won’t be left empty-handed, walking away with $500.

Entry into this event is priced at $75, offering young racers a chance to showcase their skills on the track. A 1st round buyback option will also be available for $35. The purse is based on 30 entries.

Friday Night No TT – No BB Bonus!

If you win and do not make any of the time trials or buybacks on Friday, you will win a FREE weekend entry!

Robert Hudgins Memorial Saturday Night Shootouts Presented by SDPC Raceshop

$10K Box Shootout 

Saturday night will showcase an exciting $10,000 Box Shootout, boasting a $275 entry fee with no buybacks. The runner-up will earn a generous $1,500 prize, while semi-finalists will pocket $500. With a max of 64 cars, the shootout promises fierce competition. The purse is determined by a full roster of 64 entries.

$5K No Box Shootout 

Additionally, Saturday night will also feature an exhilarating $5,000-to-win No Box Shootout. The runner-up will claim a $800 prize, while semi-finalists will earn $300. The entry fee is $150 and there is no option for buybacks. The purse is based on 64 entries.

Event Extras

Lotto tickets will be on sale daily at $10 each. The lotto winner will advance to the 4th round of competition. Additionally, there will be an exciting “run for the money” on Saturday morning with a $20 entry fee. Both Box and No Box categories will have separate events.

There will also be a World Sealing Corporation Saturday Night Racer BBQ presented by Shaneda Machine, Inc.! This is a FREE BBQ dinner for all racers and crew.
