Working Man’s $10 Grands Back for 2024

The Final Call Promotions 6th Annual Working Man’s $10 Grands heads to Kil-Kare Raceway April 26-28, 2024. Make plans to attend now!

XENIA, OH- It’s almost time to clock in for the Final Call Promotions 6th Annual Working Man’s $10 Grands presented by LAW Chevrolet! Head on over to Kil-Kare Raceway from April 26-28, 2024, to race each day for $10,000 in Top ET, $2,500 in No-Box, and $1,000 in Junior Dragsters. Additionally, there will be a $2,500-to-win FuelTech Friday Clocking in Early race and a Moser Engineering Saturday Workin’ Overtime progressive payout race.

Top E.T. Competition

Top Bulb racers have the chance to compete for a $10,000 prize on both Saturday and Sunday, all for a weekend entry fee of just $300! Alternatively, racers can opt for a single-day entry at $200 or a double-enter single-day entry for $300. You can also double-enter both days for $600 and it will grant racers one free re-entry ticket.

In the Top ET category, the runner-up will take home $2,500, with semi-finalists receiving $1,000. Round money of $100 will be awarded after the third round win, and if there are over 300 cars, round money will increase to $125. A re-entry option will also be available for $100.

Corey Butler and Kevin Long were the 2023 Top ET winners.

No-Box Competition

In No-Box, drivers will compete for $2,500 on both Saturday and Sunday for weekend entry (both races) of $150. The single-day entry will be $100 and a 1st round re-entry will be available for $50. The runner-up will pocket $500 and semi-finalists will earn $250.

Bet on Yourself as a High Roller!

If you buy the No-Box High Roller tech card, you will earn $100 round money or No-Box Winner/ RU/ Semi money. If the No-Box class winner is also a High Roller entry, they move on into the next round of Top ET for a chance at the $10K. The High Roller Saturday/ Sunday weekend entry fee is $300 and the 1st round High Roller Re-Entry will be $100.

Junior Dragsters 

Junior Dragsters will race for $1,000 on both Saturday and Sunday and will be divided up by age groups (6-9, 10-12, 13 & Up). Age groups will run separate until one reminds in each category and then they will be combined. There will be a $100 bonus to the last standing 6-9 year old! The weekend entry is $100 and the first round buyback will be $20.

FuelTech $2,500-to-win Friday Clocking in Early

Punch your time card early for the FuelTech USA $2,500-to-win Friday Clocking in Early race. The race will kick off at 1 PM during the Friday Test n’ Tune session. Runner-up will earn $1,000 along with FREE Saturday/Sunday buybacks, while semifinalists will take home $500 and receive a FREE Saturday or Sunday entry. If there are over 125 entries, there will be $50 round money starting from the third round win onwards. The entry fee is $80, and a first-round re-entry will be available if needed for $40.

Moser Engineering Saturday Workin’ Overtime

Back for 2024 is the Saturday night Moser Engineering Workin’ Overtime progressive payout race where just how good the deal is, is up to you! It’s a shootout, without the hassle and rush to sign up. At 75 cars, it will be $7,500-to-win but could increase up to $43,000 at 256 cars. More cars means more money! It will be $250 to enter, no buybacks, and doubles are allowed. You also must be entered in main event to participate!

McCarty Auto Parts Shot Clock

New for 2024 is the McCarty Auto Parts Shot Clock. The shot clock will be set at 65 seconds on day one, and set to 60 seconds the rest of the weekend (due to car count expectations). The shot clock will begin when the pair on the starting line crosses the finish line. If the shot clock reaches “0” while one to both competitors are not fully staged, the tree will be fires. At that time, the car(s) not staged will be disqualified.

The shot clock is not to punish any racer, however is used to ensure a smooth event and work towards not being interrupted by curfew.

In the event of a breakage, shot clock will be paused, the 30 second time will be in effect for broke car. If broke car retires, shot clock will resume where it left off. Also, any discrepancy in dial-ins, pauses from facility will result in the shot clock being off for that pair. In the event of a clean up, shot click hill start from the burnout signal from the starter.

Any shot clock discrepancy will be dealt with at the end of the round. Do not approach the clock operator under any circumstance.

Event Extras

There will be one “Run for the Money” opportunity on Saturday. The Run for the Money will benefit the Jenna Protz Foundation, which provides a one thousand dollar scholarship each year to a graduating student of Vandalia High School. The foundation is in memory of Jenna Protz, a promising junior drag racer and athlete.

On Saturday night, there will also be JB’s Racer Appreciation Dinner at 7pm thanks to JB’s Tire & Auto Fabrication and Tailgaters BBQ. If time permits, there will also be a pit vehicle race on Friday night.
