Mid Michigan Motorplex to Host 4th Annual Rockin’ Super Shootout

Make plans to attend the 4th Annual Corrigan Race Fuels Rockin’ Super Shootout presented by Munn Manufacturing on June 7-9, 2024 at Mid Michigan Motorplex.

STANTON, MI- Mark your calendars for the highly anticipated 4th Annual Corrigan Race Fuels Rockin’ Super Shootout presented by Munn Manufacturing, slated for June 7-9, 2024, at Mid Michigan Motorplex. This event will showcase a $5,000-to-win Super Comp and Super Gas race on Saturday, followed by a $3,000-to-win Super Comp and Super Gas race on Sunday. Additionally, on Friday, there will be a $1,000-to-win Super Comp Top 8 Shootout and Super Gas Top 8 Shootout. All races are 1/4 mile.

Originating in 2020, when racers had no where to race, Mid-Michigan Motorplex emerged as a beacon of opportunity allowing them to host an event. With a venue secures, Rock Haas and his team swiftly organized a small shootout, filling the void for eager racers.

Over the following years, with the generous support of Corrigan Race Fuels, Munn Manufacturing, The Ring and Pinion Shop, APD, Hughes Performance, and Driven Oil, the event has gained momentum. Now, as they embark on the 4th year, it has blossomed into an eagerly awaited event for all involved.

Friday Shootouts

On Friday, the weekend will kick off with a $1,000-to-win Super Comp Top 8 Shootout and a $1,000-to-win Super Gas Top 8 Shootout. Both shootouts will offer FREE entries and runner-ups will earn $250.

Last year’s winners were Tony Pontillo for the Super Comp Shootout and Pat Debottis for the Super Gas Shootout.

Super Comp 8.90 Competition

Super Comp racers will have the opportunity to compete for $5,000-to-win on Saturday and $3,000-to-win on Sunday. The runner-ups will earn $1,000 on Saturday and $500 on Sunday with $250 going to semi-finalists on both days. The two-race weekend entry fee is $400. All purses are guaranteed and all races are 1/4 mile.

Last year’s Super Comp winner was Alana Haas.

Super Gas 9.90 Competition

Super Gas competitors will compete for $5,000 on Saturday and a $3,000 on Sunday. Runner-up finishers stand to pocket $1,000 and $500 respectively, while semi-finalists on both days will take home $250 each. With an entry fee of $400 for the two-race weekend, all purses are guaranteed! All races are 1/4 mile.

Last year’s Super Gas winner was Corrine MacMillan.

Schedule

Gates swing open on Friday at 10 am, kicking off with time runs starting at noon for the Free Entry $1,000-to-win Top 8 Shootouts.

Saturday sees gates opening up at 9 am for Race #1, followed by time runs at 10 am and eliminations thereafter. The evening promises a racer and crew BBQ dinner, commencing at 5:30 pm.

On the grand finale Sunday, gates open at 9 am for Race #2, initiating with time runs at 10 am, with eliminations to follow.
