DragChamp Top 10 List
1 – Bo Butner

Bo Butner pulled off the impossible when he turned on the final win light in his Super Gas roadster for the third straight year at the NHRA US Nationals! While most racers dream of winning INDY once in their career, Butner hasn’t lost a round in Super Gas for three straight years. This comes at one of the toughest places to win as the race is spread out over six days with blind rounds almost daily and anywhere from 12 to 48 hours between runs. With the level of competition in the class, Bo’s unbeaten streak at INDY is one of the more impressive things I’ve seen in racing.
2 – Zach Meziere

Last year Zach Meziere won the NHRA D6 Race of Champions and the ET Finals (see photo). While that was impressive in and of itself, he returned to the scene of the crime this past weekend for a repeat performance. For the second consecutive season, Meziere doubled up in a field of over 600 cars to secure the #2 spot on the Top 10 List.
3 – Bo Sanders

DragChamp Pro member Bo Sanders has been on a tear lately. In the last few races, he’s won a $10K at the Gallstar $100K, a 5-grander, and most recently another $10K at the Cedar Falls Diamond Days this past weekend.
4 – Nic Gaines

Speaking of Diamond Days, Nic Gaines won the $60,000 main event at Cedar Falls to secure a Top 10 spot.
5 – Labor Day Footbrake Challenge Winners
The Labor Day Footbrake Challenge was memorable to say the least. Aside from a hurricane/tornado/thunderstorm passing through, a make-shift live feed, and multiple rain delays, several racers showed out on the big stage. It was no surprise to see Dave Harvey Jr. take home another big check at Bristol as he won the $25K main event. Charlie Lockhart won $20,000 and went deep in the $25K, while Josh Epperson won the $3K Gamblers and posted a quarterfinal finish in the $25K. Daniel Young opened the weekend winning the $4K Gamblers which was his second straight Coalburg/Bristol final as he was also runner-up on Sunday at the WFC in July.

6 – Lil Rock

Rocky Mclain II enjoyed a great outing at the Flicker Promotions LaTexan Lasso at the Texas Motorplex. Rocky began the weekend with a runner-up to Donny Burleson in Friday’s $5K and closed out the weekend with a $20K victory on Sunday.
6 – Derrick Patton

Derrick Patton also won big at the LaTexan Lasso winning Saturday’s $20,000 main event. After breaking his Maverick in round 2, he jumped into his former dragster that he hadn’t driven in 2 years. Although he was forced to let go with the wrong hand, he stayed focused and pulled off his second 20-grand victory of the season.
7 – Jake Hodge

Jake Hodge lands a Top 10 spot after winning back-to-back races in Tyler Crossnoe’s dragster. This past weekend Jake won $10K a the Old Dominion Duels at VMP which came only a week after winning Top Dragster at the PDRA race at Bristol.
8 – Jason Kenny

Jason Kenny put together another stand-out performance at the US Nationals when he made the Super Comp final for the third straight year. To reach the final of the US Nationals is a feat in itself but to do it three straight years is unreal. Unfortunately Jason has had no luck in those three finals as he’s lost each one to outstanding racers in the opposite lane. In 2022, he was .00x at the tree and lost on a breakout to Austin Williams, in 2023 he was .00x again but lost a close double breakout to Devin Isenhower. This year Jason nailed the index in the final but lost when Laris Motorsports Insurance team driver Trene Cressonie beat him off the line.
9 – Henry Roberson

Henry Roberson won the NHRA D6 ET Finals and added a split & quit final the previous day to make another Top 10 appearance.
10 – Conner Rivers

Conner Rivers owned the No-Box class at the Flicker Promotions LaTexan Lasso winning the class twice during the 3-day event.
10 – Brandon White

Brandon White closes out the Top 10 List this week after racing to a win and a runner-up at Elk Creek. White won the $3K Top Bulb class leaving off the foot and added a runner-up in $3K Footbrake class to secure his Top 100 spot.
