Mikey Bloomfield pulls off the trifecta at the Firecracker Bracket Nationals

With near $90,000 in payout, Mikey Bloomfield swept the house at the Byron Dragway 26th Annual Firecracker Bracket Nationals. 

BYRON, IL- Byron Dragway held its 26th annual Firecracker Bracket Nationals over the weekend where Mikey Bloomfield did the impossible and pulled off the trifecta! He parked the Folk Race Cars dragster in the winner’s circle on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, totaling out to $90,000 in big checks.

The event consisted of a $10,000-to-win race on Thursday, followed by three $40,000-to-win races on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Thursday $10K 

Mikey Bloomfield claimed his first big check of the weekend for $10,000 on the warm-up day.

Friday $40K 

Mikey Bloomfield was victorious over Brian Folk in the Scotty Taylor-owned Folk Race Cars dragster in the final round for $40,000.

Saturday $40K

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. Mikey Bloomfield claimed yet another $40,000, his third win in a row, over BJ Vangsness in the final round.

Sunday $40K

Troy Williams Jr. drove the Overkill dragster to the winner’s circle after defeating Andrew DiPiazza in the final round.
