Serra Wins $40K at the 12th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals

Eight racers cashed in at the Flicker Promotions 12th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals at No Problem Raceway.

BELLE ROSE, LA — Flicker Promotions held their Hose Connection Inc. 12th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals on March 6-9, 2025, at No Problem Raceway. To accommodate impending weather conditions, the promoters adjusted the schedule to ensure the event’s successful completion.

The lineup featured a Burleson Construction $10K Warm-Up Race on Friday and a combined $40K main event, which ran to completion on Sunday. No Box racers had the chance to compete for a No Box Bonus before joining the main events. In addition to the main events, there was also a $3,000-to-win No Box Fights and a $4,000-to-win Lupe Tortilla Ragin’ Cajun Gamblers race.

Off the track, attendees enjoyed additional activities, including a $1,000 Airdraulics Practice Tree Race and the Angelle Fabrication, LLC Gumbo & Boat Load of Beer racer party.

Thursday $1K Practice Tree Race

To kick off the event, there was a Thursday $1,000-to-win Airdraulics Practice Tree Race and Daryl “The Mayor” Patton defeated Chase Murray in the final round.

Environmental Recovery No Box Bonus

In the first on-track final of the weekend, Wyatt Ezell captured the win over Charlie Lockhart in the Friday Environmental Oil Recovery No Box category.

Burleson Construction $10K Warm-Up

Daryl Patton followed up his practice tree race win with another win in the Burleson Construction Inc. $10K Warm-Up beating out Mikey Bloomfield in the final round.

Lupe Tortilla $4K Ragin’ Cajun Gamblers Race

Koy Collier cashed in for $4,000 by defeating Caden Meuth in the The Original Lupe Tortilla Ragin’ Cajun Gamblers Race.

No-Box Fights Shootout

Aaron Jones defeated Charlie Lockhart in the Friday Night $3,000-to-win No-Box Fights 32-Car Shootout.

Saturday/ Sunday Combined $40K Results

Lucas Walker captured the Environmental Oil Recovery, Inc. No-Box $4,000 Bonus defeating Casey Baugh on his motorcycle.

$40K Saturday/ Sunday Combined Main Event

The Southern Big Buck Nationals concluded on Sunday with Jeff Serra being crowned the Moser Engineering $40,000 champion. Serra defeated Cory Gulitti in a thrilling final, where Gulitti’s 15 total came up 11 short against Serra’s 1 dead 3.

Jr. Dragster Main Event

In the S&S Motorsports $2,000-to-win Jr. Dragster main event, Addysan Rogers secured the final round victory over Kane Kern.

Eston Carpenter claimed the Costlow Racing $200 6-9-year-old bonus with a win over Lyndon Bryan.

Congratulations to all winners and finalists from the 12th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals. The next stop for Flicker Promotions will be March 27-30, 2025 for the Inaugural Cap City 50 at Montgomery International Dragway.
