Hieb and Koppien Victorious in the Valley

The second stop on the Midwest Class Racers 2025 season headed to historic Thunder Valley Dragway in Marion, SD, presented by Iverson Auto Group. 

Saturday’s field had 54 Stock/Super Stock entries, with Sean Marconette qualifying #1 in his SS/N Mustang. 

Saturday’s winner was Curt Hieb coming out on top versus Tony Henderson. Curt walked away with a $2,000 payday, and punched his ticket to the 2025 Midwest Factory Finishes Race of Champions. 

On Sunday, 52 cars competed and Sean Marconette continued his #1 qualifying streak on Sunday, with a -1.14 under the SS/N index run. 

Sunday’s winner was Steve Koppien, driving his 69 Camaro to a win over Wayne Denklau’s Super Stock Nova. 

With his win, Steve Koppien also punched his ticket to the Race of Champions. 

The next stop on the Midwest Class Racers Schedule is this weekend at Brainerd International Raceway for the 12th Annual Paul Bunyan Classic presented by Barrett Pet Food.
