31st Annual Million Dollar Drag Race Returns to WWTR on Sept. 22-26

Mark your calendars for the upcoming 31st Anniversary of the Mickey Thompson Million Dollar Race on September 22-26, 2026, at World Wide Technology Raceway.

MADISON, IL- It’s the MILLION! Get ready for the 31st Anniversary of the Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels Million Dollar Race, coming September 22-26, 2026, at World Wide Technology Raceway.

The event will feature the TBM Brakes $25K Tuesday, three Summit $50Ks, No Box Bonuses, and of course, the legendary Mickey Thompson Million Dollar Friday main event.

TBM Brakes Tuesday $25K

Tuesday will kick off the event with the TBM Brakes $25,000-to-win race. The winner will take home $23,000 and a Million entry, while the runner-up will earn a Million entry plus entries into all three Summit $50Ks. Semi-finalists will also receive a Million entry.

Round money begins with third-round winners. The entry fee is $225, with a $125 re-entry round available if you don’t turn on the win light in round one.

Triple $50Ks

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will each feature a Summit Racing Equipment $50,000-to-win event.
Runners-up will earn $8,000, and semi-finalists will take home $2,000. Round money begins with third-round winners, and a $250 re-entry round will be available if needed.

The single-day entry fee is $350, or racers can opt for the three-day entry option — get one shot at $50,000 each day for just $999.

Million Dollar Friday

Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels Million Dollar Friday is back for the 31st year in a row! Racers will compete for a guaranteed $250,000-to-win, with the potential payout climbing to $1,000,000 if the car count exceeds 626.

The runner-up will take home $50,000, and semi-finalists will earn $10,000 each.
$1,000 round money begins with third-round winners, and a $500 re-entry round will be available.

The entry fee is $2,000 per driver.

No Box Bonuses

No Box racers will run separate until one remains. The No Box winner will claim a bonus of $1,000 in the Triple 50 races and $2,000 in the Million Dollar Friday main event.

Event Extras

On Friday night at 7 PM, don’t miss the Laris Motorsports Insurance Racer Appreciation Dinner, free for all racers and crew. Plus, enjoy complimentary daily coffee and donuts, along with a snack and drink tent in the staging lanes to keep you fueled throughout the day. There will also be a spectacular fireworks display for all racers and families to enjoy.

There’s fun for all ages at the Million Dollar Drag Race! Kids can enjoy a variety of activities including a bounce house, animal balloons, face painting, and prizes all thanks to Rugburn Raceway!

Can’t make it to the track? No problem — you can still catch all the racing action live on MotorMania TV, thanks to Vintage Trailers, VP Racing Fuels, and Competitive Suspension.
