Flicker LaTexan Lasso Returns to Texas Motorplex on September 3-6

ENNIS, TX- Flicker Promotions is proud to announce the 3rd Annual LaTexan Lasso presented by Ezell Race Cars, set for September 3-6, 2026, at Texas Motorplex. The action-packed weekend will kick off with a $10,000 Warm-Up race, followed by three $20,000-to-win Main Events. Racers can also compete for No-Box Bonuses, while S&S Motorsports Jr. Dragsters will battle for $1,000-to-win each day. The weekend will also feature a $1,000-to-win Bennett Enterprises Practice Tree Race. New for 2026, Friday and Saturday night will showcase the inaugural Big Texan 50K, a 64-car shootout paying a massive $50,000-to-win!

Thursday $10K Warm-up

Thursday’s racing kicks off with time trials starting at 8 am, followed by the Thursday $10K Warm-Up race. The winner will secure $10,000, while the runner-up claims $2,000, and semi-finalists take home $1,000. There will be a $150 entry fee, and a $100 first round only re-entry fee is available if needed. Racers earn $75 round money starting with 3rd round winners. No-Box will compete separately for the $500 No-Box bonus, with the last remaining car merging into the Super Pro field.

Friday-Sunday Triple $20Ks

The Triple $20Ks will begin Friday morning with new entry time runs at 8 am, followed by the first round of eliminations. Racers will compete for a $20,000 prize each day, with payouts of $3,000 for runner-ups, $1,500 for semi-finalists, and $100 round money starting with third-round winners. A $150 re-entry option will be available for racers unable to secure a first-round win. This re-entry round will be held separately, with all buybacks competing against each other after the first round, and winners advancing to round two. Additionally, No-Box will compete as its own class for the $1,500 No-Box bonus, with the last remaining car joining the Super Pro field.

Crader Performance Engines will be the sponsor on Friday, Moser Engineering sponsors Saturday and Abruzzi Transmissions & Converters will be the day sponsor for Sunday.

The Friday, Saturday and Sunday weekend entry fee is $600, and the single-day entry fee is $225.

No-Box Bonuses

As stated above, No-Box will run completely separate with their own bye run down to one remaining. No-Box will earn the same round money as above. The last remaining No-Box car will receive a bonus and will advance into the next round along with the remaining Super Pro entries. The Friday $10K Warm-Up race No-Box bonus will be $500 and the Triple $20Ks No-Box Bonus will be $1,500.

Big Texan $50K Shootout

NEW for 2026 is the Big Texan $50K Shootout, featuring a massive $50,000 payday for the winner! This 64-car shootout will take place on Friday and Saturday night and will require a $1,100 entry fee. The runner-up will take home $5,000, while the semifinalists will each earn $2,000 and the quarterfinalists will pocket $1,000.

S&S Motorsports Junior Dragsters

Junior Dragster racers are also invited to join the fun with the S&S Motorsports Junior Dragster races, featuring $1,000-to-win competitions on both Saturday and Sunday. The runner-up will receive $200, and semi-finalists will earn $100. No doubles are allowed for Juniors. There will also be a Costlow Racing $500 Bonus for the last remaining 6-9 year-old racer.

The two-day weekend entry is $150 and a single day entry is $80. A 1st round buyback will be available for $30.

Event Extras

Wednesday night will kick off the event with the Bennett Enterprises Practice Tree Race plus a EFT Endicott Flooring Texoma Dinner & Beer Party at 7PM . Saturday night will feature the Laris Motorsports Insurance Racer’s Appreciation Dinner and Angelle Fabrication will host the staging lanes hospitality tent all weekend long keeping everyone hydrated!
