OSKALOOSA, IA – Gallstar Bracket Races held their rescheduled Erson Cams Midwest BracketFest, powered by Fuel Factory, on August 28-30, 2026, at Eddyville Raceway Park. Friday night kicked things off with a Test ‘n Tune session, followed by the $1,000-to-win Rick Livingston Sr. Memorial Back Tire Race. Saturday and Sunday each featured a Twin Crazy Eights race, paying $8,000 to win.
No Box racers competed separately, with a No Box bonus up for grabs and the opportunity to merge into the remaining Top Bulb field. Junior Dragsters were also invited to join the action and raced for $500 to win on both Saturday and Sunday.
Unfortunately, the Gallstar Bracket Races team faced weather challenges throughout the weekend, ultimately forcing all Bacon Builders Sunday on-track activities to be canceled.

Friday $1K Rick Livingston Sr. Memorial Back Tire Race
Friday night at the ERSON CAMS MIDWEST BRACKETFEST powered by Fuel Factory featured the $1000-to-win Rick Livingston Sr Memorial Back Tire Race at Eddyville Raceway Park!
32 racers staged up on the back tires for the very first time. Racers were lost on the tree, and they were lost on the ET. But that was the point! It was incredible to watch how quickly racers were able to dial in their program with such an unconventional race structure. The one-and-only back tire time hit session saw some amazing reaction times off the trailer, with Max Laffoon earning the R1 potential bye with a perfect .0001 reaction off the rear tires.
At the end of the night, two Minnesota based drivers squared off for the $1000 winner’s purse in honor of Rick Livingston Sr. Owen Drake took the advantage over Richard Rohda Sr at the starting line (.009 to a .016), but got behind at the stripe by .010 to hand the final win light over to Richard!
Richard stated “My luck must have turned around after breaking a wheel hub and having all kinds of trouble on the way here. The car was awesome.”

Saturday Main Event $8K
Paige Pro Products Saturday at the ERSON CAMS MIDWEST BRACKETFEST powered by Fuel Factory became a great evening of racing after Mother Nature caused a long delay immediately following time hits in the morning. After working through a tough field of competitors, Clint Hagedorn staged up with the last remaining no-boxer of the event, Scott Jader.
In the final round, both drivers posted nearly identical reaction times (.0210 to a .0209), but Clint was able to drive the “Hurry Up” buggy to the stripe first and land closer to the dial (5.437 on a 5.42). Scott’s car fell off a bit in the final, running three-above for the runner-up spot on the night.
“This is my first win” said Clint. “It’s hard to put into words what this means!”
Friends and family rushed to meet Clint after driving back up the racing surface following the final round. Clint was covered with ice cold water shower during his winner circle interview!
Scott Jader took his no box Monte Carlo all the way to the final round, picking up the Lem’s Fabrication and Welding / Lehmicke polishing No Box Bonus money along the way!

Jr. Dragsters
The next generation of racers got to race on the big stage during the Advance Transmission Jr Dragster Shootout presented by White Family Trucking! Aiden Laughlin and Sava Rudo staged up in a $500 final round under the lights. Sava turned the red light on to hand the win over to Aiden, who collected his first GSBR trophy and big check in the winner circle!

Congratulations to all winners and finalists from the Gallstar Bracket Races Erson Cams Midwest Bracketfest, powered by Fuel Factory at Eddyville Raceway Park.
