The Sportsman class was a 100% payback race where Bryan Cronan and Jimmy Harmon would battle for the top spot on Saturday. Cronan had the reaction time advantage and put together a winning package that left Harmon mathematically ineligible.

Bryan Cronan returned to the final round in Sportsman on Sunday, but this time to face Raymond White from Whitwell, Tennessee. Cronan sweeps the weekend in Sportsman when White turned on the red light.

Whittle has found herself in the runner up spot in two of the previous High5 Energy points series races, as well as another runner up last week during Brainerd’s regular points series.

Grace was aiming for perfection but leaves .0001 too early, handing the win to Shelby, who was also red.

Two additional Tennessee dragsters staged up for the High5 Energy $5K final on Sunday, and once again one of them had the last name of Grayson….sound familiar?

This time the final round match up was between Matthew Grayson of Whitwell and Mike Clayton of Ooltewah. Clayton was in a split-and-quit final the week before during Brainerd’s regular points race.

In Sunday’s High5 Energy $5K final, both drivers ran one above their dial ins. With a .006 margin of victory, it was Grayson’s .010 reaction time that picked up the win over Clayton.

Two Georgia racers who are very familiar with final round appearances battled for the top spot in No Box. Allen Long returned to his second final in the same number of days to take on Marty Goldsmith.

Goldsmith has already collected two runner up finishes during the June and July High5 Energy $5K races in Sportsman. He also took home the runner up spot last week during Brainerd’s regular points series.

On Sunday, Allen Long missed the tree a bit as Marty Goldsmith used his reaction time advantage to drive into the winner’s circle.
