DragChamp Top 10 List – 12/2/20
1 – Andy Lloyd
Just a week removed from a $20K victory over 539 cars at the Loose Rocker American Doorslammer Nationals, Andy Lloyd won another big race over the Thanksgiving weekend. Lloyd outlasted the field at VMP to collect a $10,000 payday at the Turkey Trot Triple 10’s. Andy earns the top spot this week on the strength of his back-to-back victories.
2 – Tony Brock
Tony Brock jumps to the two spot this week after making three finals in two days at Cherokee Raceway in Scotty Richardson’s S-dime. Brock picked up a win and a runner-up in No-Box along with a split and quit final in Top.
3 – Nasty Nick Hastings
Nasty Nick continues to throw his name in the ring for the DragChamp Driver of the Year award. Last weekend Hastings collected yet another big win after taking home the $20,000 payday at the Loose Rocker Fall Footbrake Frenzy in Piedmont.
4 – Dave Harvey Jr.
Dave Harvey Jr. also collected a huge payday at Piedmont after taking home the $20,000 Loose Rocker check!
5 – Rick Baehr
Slick Rick rounds out the Top 5 with another strong weekend. Baehr, competing at Cherokee Raceway, finished the weekend with two runner-up finishes and a semifinal finish to lock in the five spot. Two weeks ago Rick led the Top 10 List after a strong weekend in Gulfport that included a $25K runner-up.
6 – Jeremy Maples
Jeremy Maples enjoyed a successful weekend in Tulsa taking home the $7,500 victory and running deep in the other $7,500 race. On a heavier note, Jeremy’s dad Lanny passed away on Sunday. Lanny was an avid Super Gas racer in Division 4 for decades and was well liked and respected. My dad and myself raced with and against Lanny for almost 30 years. He made a huge impact on so many people, you will be missed my friend. God Speed!
7 – Tommy Plott
Tommy Plott raced into the #7 spot this week after collecting two $10K runner-up finishes at Farmington Dragway.
8 – Dallas Glenn
NHRA Pro Stock crewman Dallas Glenn doesn’t race often but tends to make a splash when he does. Competing at the Loose Rocker Fall Footbrake Frenzy, Glenn earned a runner-up finish in one $20K and was down to 5 cars in the other. All of this came in his low 7-second, pump gas powered, 3-speed El Camino.
9–10 $10,000 Winners
