Cultrera Wins $20K at GALOT Halloween Havoc

Kyle Cultrera, Corey Lucas, and Maxson Locklear captured wins at the GALOT Motorsports Park 2022 Halloween Havoc.

BENSON, NC- GALOT Motorsports Park held their Halloween Havoc bracket race weekend October 28-30, 2022. The event featured three separate classes: Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster, West End Opera House Footbrake, and Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET. With weather issues early in the weekend, the call was made to combine Saturday and Sunday races into one to be run to completion on Sunday. With the new format, Junior Dragster racers competed for $2,000-to-win, Footbrake racers had a chance at $6,000-to-win and Top ET competitors raced for $20,000.

Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster $2K

In Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster action, Ayden Tilghman faced off with Maxson Locklear in the final round. Ayden dialed 8.95 and Maxson put up 9.01. Maxson took a starting line advantage and ran 9.030 on his dial. Ayden ran 8.948, breaking out by .002, giving the win to Maxson Locklear.

West End Opera House Footbrake $6K

In West End Opera House Footbrake, Corey Lucas and Kyle Cultrera came to the water box together. Lucas dialed up 6.75 against Cultrera and his 5.85 dial. Only .003 separated the two at the starting line. Cultrera ran 5.869, but Lucas ran dead on with a 2, taking the smaller package and the win in Footbrake.

Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET $20K

The Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET final was the final pass of the night, with Kyle Cultrera (yep, him again) lining up with Rayce Blackmon. Kyle dialed up 4.53 and Rayce predicted he would run 6.31. Cultrera took a .005 starting line advantage and ran 4.543, while Blackmon broke out, running .003 under his dial. Your Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET winner is Kyle Cultrera.

In addition to race winnings, the finalists and semifinalists for Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET, as well as West End Opera House Footbrake, also receive gift certificates from Cometic Gasket, the Official Gasket of GALOT Motorsports Park.
