DragChamp Top 10 List
1 – Shane Daugherty
Shane Daugherty cleaned house at Muncie Dragway last weekend. He kicked off the weekend carrying two entries to five cars before collecting the No-Box class win. In Saturday’s 1st race, Daugherty doubled up winning No-Box and the Box $3K. in the 2nd race of the day, Daugherty ran himself in the No-Box final and then proceeded to win the Box class for the second day in a row! With his dominating performance, Shane Daugherty grabs the #1 spot on the Laris Motorsports Insurance Top 10 List.
2 – Tyler Cassil
Tyler Cassil had a wildly successful weekend at the NHRA Heartland Nationals in Topeka. Cassil drove his matching late model Camaro’s to wins in Stock Eliminator and Super Stock on Sunday. Cassil becomes just the 29th racer to double up at a national event.
3 – Jamie Holston
Jamie Holston made three final round appearances in two days at Mooresville to lock down the three spot this week. Holston won the Footbrake class in his Chevelle on Saturday and Sunday, grabbed a runner-up in Top in his dragster on Sunday, and captured the King of the Track award.
4 – Kyle Cultrera
Kyle Cultrera snagged another big payday after winning the $20K main event at the Numidia 150 on Saturday. Cultrera continues to shine on the big money bracket racing scene picking up wins on a consistent basis. He has also made the finals on the NHRA tour this season.
5 – AJ Jenkins
AJ Jenkins was the big winner at the Competitive Suspension Door Wars race at MIR. Jenkins raced to the $20K main event win on Saturday to earn the five spot this week.
6 – Chris Gray
Chris Gray doubled up at Ethridge Motorsports Park on Saturday winning two $5K races. The last of which was completed as the sun was coming up on Sunday morning.
7 – Matt Ricchezza
Matt Ricchezza cashed for $10K at the Door Wars Footbrake race. In addition to his big score, Ricchezza also came close to a second final on the weekend when he fell in the semifinals of the $20K main event.
8 – Andrew Goss
Andrew Goss has been a consistent visitor to the Mo-Kan winners circle this season. That trend continued on Saturday when he put his dragster and GTO in the winners circle for the double up!
9 – William Joiner
William Joiner makes his second straight appearance on the Top 10 after winning yet again. Last week we spotlighted his 8 wins in 9 weeks streak. Joiner keep it going with a win at Beacon Dragway last weekend to earn another shout out.
10 – Steve Sisko
Steve Sisko, the $1.1 Million dollar man, showed out on Saturday at the Numidia 150. Sisko drove his Nova to the $10K win and was also doubled down to 8 cars. He then jumped into a dragster and
