Central Illinois Dragway Hosts First Midstate Lucky 7’s Bracket Series Race

Patrick, Hill, Mack, and France captured wins at the first Central Illinois Dragway Midstate Lucky 7’s Bracket Series race of the season.

HAVANA, IL- Central Illinois Dragway held the first race of their Midstate Lucky 7’s Bracket Series, May 5-7, 2023. The event feature two-days of $7,000-to-win Box, $1,750-to-win No Box, and $500-to-win Junior Dragsters. With the weekend’s unfavorable weather, only Saturday’s program was able to be run to completion. Sunday’s Junior Dragster class was finished but the remaining competitors in Box and No Box split and quit to call it a day.

The next Midstate Lucky 7’s Bracket Series race at Central Illinois Dragway will be June 2-4, 2023.

Box

In Saturday’s $7K Box class, Clayton Patrick captured the final round win over Hayden Bailey.

No Box

Rusty Hill brought out the broom this weekend and took home the Saturday No Box win and runner up.

Saturday Jr. Dragster

Tucker Mack picked up the Saturday Junior Dragster final round win over Lilly Kinne.

Sunday Jr. Dragster

Brylee France defeated Kylee Eads in the Sunday Junior Dragster class.

A Word from the Track

“We can’t thank you all enough for attending our first event and can’t wait for next weekend. We will kick off next weekend with a Friday night test and tune followed by our first IHRA points event of the year on Saturday along with the Bandy Automotive and Performance Quick 16 Series!”
