2023 Central Ohio Power Wheels Champions Crowned
Adelle Robinson and Rumor Jae earned 2023 class championships in the Central Ohio Power Wheels Drag Racing Series.

MOUNT VERNON, OH- The Central Ohio Power Wheels Drag Racing series gives racers ages 3-9 years old an electrified introduction into the sport of drag racing. Kids drive their Power Wheels to the 60 foot mark in either bracket racing or heads up classes and compete for the opportunity at a class championship.
2023 has been one of the best years the Central Ohio Power Wheels Drag Racing has had with a display of some of the closest racing ever. This year, they raced at Terre Haute, Indiana, KD Dragway in South Webster, Ohio, National Trails Raceway in Hebron, Ohio and their home track, Pacemakers Outlaw Motorsports Park in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Racers are able to compete in three classes: 12 Volt Stock, 12 Volt Modified, and 24 Volt Modified.

12 Volt Stock
The 12 Volt Stock Series National Champion for 2023 was Adelle Robinson, age 7 from Newark, Ohio.
Adelle’s 2014 Blue Hot Shot’s Secret Corvette has more event wins than any other car that runs with Central Ohio Power Wheels Drag Racing. Adelle was in 90% of the final rounds this year and is part of Team Hot Shot’s Secret. Her sponsors are Hot Shot’s Secret, Rocket Track Glue, LG Custom Creations Vinyl Lasering Embroidery, Drag Champ, K’s Kustoms.com, Holmes Hobbies and No Prep Outlaw Mafia.
The runner-up driver was Adelle’s Teammate, Zoey Hicks, age 4 from Manchester, Ohio. Zoey Loves drag racing, it’s her favorite thing to do. When she meets someone new she says, “Hi i’m Zoey I’m a race car driver”. Zoey is also part of Team Hot Shot’s Secret and her sponsors are Hot Shot’s Secret, Rocket Track Glue, LG Custom Creations Vinyl Lasering Embroidery, Hicks Family Racing and No Prep Outlaw Mafia. Zoey raced in 12 Volt Stock and 12 Volt Modified this year and will be adding 24 Volt Modified for 2024.

12 Volt Modified
The 12 Volt Modified Series National Champion for 2023 is Rumor Jae, age 4 from Mason, West Virginia.
Racing runs in Rumor Jae’s family! Her mother raced Jr Dragsters and her Crew Chief and grandfather, Tim still drag races today. Rumor Jae made a hard charge half way through the season winning a lot of races and the National Championship in 12 Volt Modified this also helped her earn Rookie of the year for 2023. Rumor also did run a few 24 Volt Modified races. Rumor’s sponsor is No Prep Outlaw Mafia, and she runs Hot Shot’s Secret Products.
The points runner-up was Mason Knox from Mount Vernon, Ohio. He raced with us last year for his rookie season and started off the year with two runner-up finishes in one of the quickest cars in the class. Then, he had some issues with the car but finished strong at our last race. Mason was the only Mopar in this class and he also uses Hot Shot’s Secret products.

24 Volt Modified
The 2023 24 Volt Modified Series National Champion was Adelle Robinson, age 7 from Newark, Ohio.
This is Adelle’s her second time winning the 24 Volt Modified Championship and her first 24 Volt Modified championship was in her first year racing. Adelle plays softball until July and after it’s racing season. All last year, Adelle and Tommy Robinson battled it out but she couldn’t beat him. She told her Dad, “make me faster than Tommy, all I want to do is be able to beat him once”, well that she did in their first final together in 2023. Adelle had an awesome year not always being the fastest car but making it to the finals in every race but one. Adelle is part of Team Hot Shot’s Secret. She will be making her first race with her sponsored car, Black Sheep at the first race of 2024, a huge thank you to John G. Jones from CKC Gary. Be sure to check out his video’s on YouTube. The class runner-up was Adelle’s teammate, Tommy Robinson. This is Tommy’s last year racing Power Wheels. Tommy has been part of our Central Ohio Power Wheels Drag Racing since we started. He has won class championships track championships and National championships in every class that we have ran since we started. Tommy was inducted into the Central Ohio Power Wheels Drag Racing Hall of Fame this year. Tommy Loves Drag Racing and his favorite car is the Corvette. Tommy is part of Team Hot Shot’s Secret. His sponsors are Hot Shot’s Secret, Rocket Track Glue, LG Custom Creations Vinyl Lasering Embroidery, K’s Kustoms.com , Holmes Hobbies, No Prep Outlaw Mafia.
