Smiddy & Wood Cash in for $10K at US 60 Fall Bluegrass Big Bucks

Nine racers claim wins at the US 60 Dragway Fall Bluegrass Big Bucks and Mini Junior Jackpot Weekend.

HARDINSBURG, KY- The Fall Bluegrass Big Bucks took place September 11-13, 2026, at US 60 Dragway. The three-day event featured a $5,000-to-win Top Bulb race on Friday, followed by twin $10,000-to-win main events on Saturday and Sunday. No Box racers also had the opportunity to compete for bonus money throughout all three days. Rain caused Friday’s race to come to a halt, but thankfully, officials were still able to crown Friday’s winners on Saturday.

Junior Dragsters also competed in their Mini Junior Jackpot Weekend. Friday featured the S&S Clutch Rumble, where the winner took home $1,250 along with an S&S Clutch. Saturday and Sunday each featured a $2,500-to-win Junior Dragster main event, with age-group bonuses awarded both days.

Friday Results

$5,000 BIG BUCKS 

Kyle Burleson captured the Friday $5,000-to-win Big Bucks Top Bulb class win, defeating Nick Gowan in the final round.

Adam Phillips claimed the No Box Bonus win.

$1,500 + S&S CLUTCH MINI JUNIOR JACKPOT

Jace Coomer cashed in during the S&S Clutch Rumble, which began Friday and wrapped up Saturday. Brooks Whitworth was the last remaining racer in the Junior Age Group 6-9, while Coomer was also the last remaining racer in the 10-12 age group and ultimately claimed the win. Coomer took home $1,250 and an S&S Clutch for his victory.

Saturday Results

$10,000 BIG BUCKS

In Saturday’s $10,000-to-win Top Bulb main event we saw Justin Smiddy taking the final win light over Caden Jamison.

The Saturday No Box Bonus winner was Jayson Daniel.

$2,500 MINI JUNIOR JACKPOT

Logan Underwood picked up the Saturday $2,500 Mini Junior Jackpot win after defeating Riley Sherbondy in the final round.

Warren Kappler was the last remaining racer in the Junior Age Group 6-9, while Jace Coomer was the last remaining racer in the 10-12 age group.

 $10,000 BIG BUCKS

In Sunday’s $10,000 Top Bulb main event, Trevor Wood captured the final round win over Kyle Burleson.

Lucas Walker was the Sunday No Box Bonus winner.

 $2,500 MINI JUNIOR JACKPOT

Liam Underwood claimed the Sunday $2,500-to-win Mini Junior Jackpot win, earning the final-round victory over Alexander Arnett.

Benson Tharp was the last remaining racer in the Junior Age Group 6-9, while Alexander Arnett was the last remaining racer in the 10-12 age group. Both racers earned a $150 bonus.
