SFG Goes West with Six-Figure Payouts in Tucson

Race Preview: SFG Big Fun Event at Tucson Dragway

TUCSON, AZ. (Nov. 20, 2019):

Kyle Riley (CEO of SFG Promotions, Inc.) and his team are making life-changing money affordable again this weekend. This time, they’ll do it at the SFG Big Fun event presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Tucson Dragway. The event highlights two $50,000-to-win events on Friday and Saturday, and a $15,000-to-win warm-up race on Thursday.

The event also offers something special to No-Box racers: two 64-car No-Box Shootouts paying $5,000 to winners on both Friday and Saturday. No-Box Shootout racers can also compete in main events, and will be kept separate from door cars with electronics until one No-Box entry remains. As usual, door cars will also be kept separate from dragsters until one door car remains.

Double entries of all sorts are allowed, as long as each car goes down the track a maximum of two times each round: two drivers can race one car, and one driver can race one car with two entries. Double entries who go deep into eliminations will be waited on in a fair manner.

“It’s thanks to God for making this possible and prompting me to host a race in the West Coast,” says Riley about the major event for West Coast racers.

The price tags on the SFG Big Fun races are as follows:

  • $50 entry for Wednesday test and tune
  • $160 entry for $15,000-to-win warm-up race on Thursday
  • $400 entry for each $50,000-to-win race on Friday and Saturday, or $675 for both. If double entering, then $599 for each race
  • $400 pre-entry for both $5,000-to-win No Box races

Looking ahead into race week, Riley has announced backup plans for the event’s schedule if weather delays occur on Wednesday or Thursday.

Mikey Bloomfield wins $200K at SFG World Series!

“Wednesday’s test and tune held by Tucson may get cancelled along with Thursday’s $15k-to-win race if weather doesn’t hold,” says Riley. “We’re not going to push things back to Sunday as the track had already scheduled an event for Sunday well in advance of ours. If we were to lose Thursday, everyone would get two time trials on Friday before the first $50k race, and none on Saturday. As always, new entries will also get at least one time trial whichever day they show up.”

If things do go according to plan though, all $50k race entries will get at least one time trial on Thursday, and No-Box Shootout entries will get at least one time trial on Friday with a possibility of more being added. Again, new entries will receive at least one time trial whichever day they show up.

Beyond the action on the track, racers can also expect to have a great time at the SFG Fun Zone where a breakfast provided by Cracker Barrel will be served, and practice tree races will be held for prizes like a free entry to the 2020 SFG 1.1 Million Dollar race. Summit Racing Equipment will also be giving away 20 gift certificates throughout the week, starting on Thursday.

For spectators, weekend passes are $15 per day and weekend passes are $25. Kids 12 and under are free. Gates open at 8am each day. For those wanting to watch from home, please refer to SFG’s FaceBook page for extensive live updates and content as there will be no Motormania TV livestream this weekend.

ABOUT SFG PROMOTIONS, INC

“What is SFG and where did it come from?” you ask. SFG is the brainchild of racer and promoter Kyle Riley. “I had a vision to offer racers the chance to race for big money that the average racer could not afford, but I give God all the credit for the idea because it was sent from God,” states Riley. Riley also adds, “Until SFG came about your average racer couldn’t afford the chance to run for 50k or 100k because it was out of their price range.

I wanted your everyday bracket racer to know what it feels like to stage up for that kind of money. A lot of people think I’m crazy, but I’ve always felt it’s better to give than to receive. The racers have really supported SFG in its first years, so I want to show them that I really appreciate their support so I raised the payouts and lowered the entry fees. Everyone will see the better SFG does the more the racer will benefit from our success.”
