Roberts, Phillips, Williams, Day, and Jones find the winner’s circle during the Texas Two Step presented by CP Racing Promotions.
ENNIS, TX – The 2nd Annual Texas Two Step rolled into Texas Motorplex over the weekend courtesy of CP Racing Promotions. Thanks to an unfavorable weather forecast, the original four day event was condensed into three.
Thursday held a Test-and-Tune session as well as a gamblers race. On Friday and Saturday, Box racers would compete for two $30,000 payouts, while No Box racers had a shot at two $7,500 to win races.
Thursday Gamblers Race
Brad Roberts wheels his Camaro into the winner’s circle during Thursday’s gamblers race. He drove through 57 entries to collect the $3,000 check.
Friday Box Results
In the first $30,000 final round of the weekend, Heath Phillips takes the win. Cory Gulitti had swapped motors in the dragster just 4 days before earning the runner up spot.
Friday No Box Results
Sheila Day earns the $7,500 payday over Jake Howard in Friday’s No Box class.
Saturday Box Results
Heath Phillips returns to his second $30K final round, but comes one win light short of the double up. Austin Williams takes the win and pockets $30,000.
Saturday No Box Results
Aaron Jones was unstoppable during Saturday’s No Box class. He takes the win and runner up to collect $7,500 in his Camaro.
