6th Annual New Year Nationals Results

Gage Burch, Trey Bunner, Mike Matty Jr., Carson Emmett, and Jordan Ancel win big at the RT Promotions New Year Nationals at Palm Beach International Raceway.

JUPITER, FL- The 6th Annual RT Promotion‘s New Years Nationals took place December 31, 2020 – January 3rd, 2021. The event featured two $10,000-to-win races for No Box and Box classes as well as two $1,500-to-win races for the Junior Dragster class. On Thursday night, they also held $5,000-to-win 64-car shootouts for Box, No Box, and Junior Dragsters.

Even with the craziness that we call 2020, racers still showed their dedication and support for the New Years Nationals by setting a record of 610 entries on Friday and 567 entries on Saturday.

Friday Box $10K Results

Trey Bunner from Bushnell, FL drove his ’91 Camaro to the winner’s circle to claim the first $10,000 Box check of the weekend. In the final round, Bunner took on Carson Brown from Blountville, TN.

The semi-finalists were Jeremy Bargo from Barbourville, KY and Johnny Tolisano from Jupiter, FL.

Friday No Box $10K Results

In Friday’s $10,000-to-win No Box class, Gage Burch took the win over “Nasty” Nick Hastings. In the final, Burch let go .012 and was dead-on one and Hastings was .010 and dead six for the runner-up.

The semi-finalist was Daniel Young from Palm Harbour, FL.

Friday Junior Dragster $1,500 Results

Carson Emmett out of Cedar Bluff, AL picked up the win over Dylan Hite from Praicieville, LA. In the final, Emmet was .008 and ran a 7.998 on a 7.98 dial-in and White was .033 and ran a 7.787 on a 7.77 dial-in.

The lone semi-finalist was Cadence Soucek from Rittman, OH.

Saturday $10K Box Results

In Saturday’s $10,000-to-win Box class, Mike Matty Jr. out of Sheffield, OH picked up the win over Lake Worth, FL’s Corey Penny. In the final, Matty was .005 and ran a 4.587 on a 4.57 and Penny was .014 and dead-on eight for the runner-up.

Bailey Ferraro was the lone semi-finalist.

Saturday $10K No Box Results

In Saturday’s No Box final, Gage Burch and “Nasty” Nick Hastings line up again for the $10,000 No Box check. This time around, Burch lets go .007 and goes dead-on eight to claim the win once again over Hastings.

The semi-finalist was Jon Siegel out of Riverview, FL.

Saturday Junior Dragster $1,500 Results

In Saturday’s Junior Dragster final, Jordan Ancel out of Morris, IL picked up the win over Clayton NC’s Kaylee Creech. In the final, Ancel was .016 and ran a 7.998 on a 7.96 and Creech let go late and ran a 8.498 on a 8.40 dial-in.

The lone semi-finalist was Eli Wiggins out of Alvaton, KY.

$5,000 64-Car Shootout Results

Box

Tucker Creech picked up the Box shootout win over Joseph Bagwell. in the final, Creech took the automatic win due to Bagwell having issues at the line.

Matt Dadas and Tom Stalba were the semi-finalists.

No Box

Charlie Lockhart out of Mayfield, KY picked up the win over Mike Gaffney out of Wildwood, FL in the No Box $5,000-to-win shootout. The semi-finalists were RJ Myers and Dan Cassie.

Junior Dragster

In the Junior Dragster 64-car-shootout final, Thomas Oates out of Clear Brook, VA claimed the win over Katie Craft out of Melbourne, FL. In the final, Oates was .038 and two-above and Craft was .089 and one-above for the runner-up.
