BATON ROUGE, LA – Does Valentine’s Day usually get you down? Not sure how to treat your significant other? I can guarantee that nobody will be sad while holding up a big check in the winner’s circle! You should spend the weekend chasing win lights with your buddies at the 8th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals, February 12-14, 2021.
CP Racing Promotions and Flicker Pro Motions, Cody Pollage and Johnny Ezell, team up again for big money bracket racing- but this time the event will be at State Capitol Raceway.
The 2021 Southern Big Buck Nationals is sponsored by R&M Race Trailer and Cargo Mate.
Let’s Talk Money
The weekend entry is $400 in the Box class, while a single day entry will cost you $200. You can buyback first or second round for $100 each day. The Box winner takes home $10,000 and the runner up earns $2,000 each day.
No Box racers have a weekend entry fee of $300 where the winner picks up $5,000 and the runner up earns $1,000. If you choose to enter one day only, you’ll pay $150. Buybacks are $50 and can be used first or second round.
Saturday Night Shootouts
A 64-car field of bottom bulb racers can compete in the $5,000 to win Shootout on Saturday night. The entry fee is $150 and there are no buybacks. The runner up claims $1,000 and semifinalists pick up $300 each. Quarterfinalists get their entry fee back with a $150 payout.
The Box Shootout on Saturday is a 64-car field as well, but the $1,000 entry fee earns you a shot at the $50,000 top prize. The runner up gets $5,000, semifinalists earn $2,000, and quarterfinalists receive $500. There are no buybacks in this Shootout.
When Do I Show Up?
Gates open at 1PM on Thursday and will be open for parking all night. Thursday night will also host a Practice Tree Race, so show up early for a chance at more cash!
Friday gates open at 9AM and the one-and-only time run will begin at 11AM. Eliminations will follow.
Saturday and Sunday, gates will open at 8AM with new entries only receiving a time run at 9AM. Eliminations will follow and Saturday’s Shootout will begin after the Main Event final round.
