Dylan Hite wins the DragChamp 2020 Jr. Racer 16-17 Year Old Racer of the Year title! Find all the details in the DragChamp Jr. Top 10 List.

01/13/21 – Welcome to the DragChamp 2020 Jr. Racer 16-17 year old Top 10 List. This week we rank the best 16-17 year old racers in the country and crown the 2020 16-17 year old Jr. Racer of the Year!

DragChamp 2020 Jr. Racer 16-17 Year Old Top 10 List

1 – Dylan Hite

Dylan Hite is your DragChamp 2020 16-17 year old Racer of the Year! Hite accumulated some amazing stats over the 2020 season to earn the title. His season included track championships at Atmore and Gulfport and wins at the Garrett Shankle Memorial $5K winner, and the ECF.

Dylan made final rounds in 10 consecutive weekends, won $1K at Emerald Coast, was runner-up at both $1,500 Back to School races, and runner-up at the New Year Nationals. He doubled up six times at Emerald Coast Dragway, won two Wally’s in one day, and won an Iron Man at State Capitol Raceway.

2 – Caleb Burns

Caleb started off the year with a $3K victory in Kentucky then went on to win a WFC outlaw Championship in Tulsa. He also earned two wins at the Midwest Junior Super Series in Byron and a MWJSS victory at Crossroads. Burns added runner-up finishes at Indy and two MWJSS races at Byron. He also won the Midwest Junior Super Series Outlaw 330 championship and the 13-17 championship. Caleb competed at 16 tracks in 11 states.

3 – Madison Fisher

Madison Fisher earns the three spot on the 2020 Top 10 List after winning the IHRA Jr. Dragster World Championship. She also won multiple times over the year and won the Immokalee track championship.

4 – CJay Kilkenny

CJay made 12 final round appearances in 2020 winning on eight occasions. The well traveled racer, he raced in eight states, won a Big Daddy trophy and a Wally. In addition to his wins, CJay had six semifinal showings including the ECF Fun Race, WCF, Florida Back to School race, and the Midwest Thanksgiving race.

5 – Jackson Earwood

Jackson Earwood enjoyed a great season that included a Lucas Oil Division 2 championship along with his Atlanta Dragway track championhip. Earwood also won $1,000 at the MWJSS Thanksgiving race, a Baby Gators Wally, and a Wally at the Lucas Oil Series race at South Georgia Motorsports Park. Jackson finished the season with 8 wins in 12 finals.

6 – Katie Sloat

Katie Sloat made 11 finals in 10 states in 2020. Highlights on the year included a track championship at Bradenton Motorsports Park, a $1K victory in Rockingham and she also made the 2021 FTI farm team.

7 – Shelby Whittle

Shelby Whittle enjoyed a big season where she made 11 final round appearances. In addition, Shebly won the Brainerd Motorsports Park track championship, swept High 5 bracket race on Saturday and Sunday, and won the Team Finals Warm Up race at Memphis.

8 – Emily Parker

Emily Parker made 10 final round appearances in 2020 winning five times. Her big wins included a $1,500 Shootout victory at the Derby City race along with a 13-17 age group win at the Eastern Conference Finals. After taking a hiatus in Sept, Emily returned to make four finals in her next six races.

9 – Jaden Maze

Jaden Maze made eight final round appearances last season and won on six occasions. Maze won the Dragway 42 track championship for the second consecutive season and doubled up at both Keystone Sniper Series races. Jaden also won and IHRA Ironman trophy and made a semifinal appearance at the IHRA Division 3 Bracket Finals.

10 (tie) – Peyton Shook

Peyton Shook rounds out the Top 10 List after winning a track championship at Immokalee. He also collected multiple wins on the season including a 7.90 Labor Race at Bradenton, both the 7.90 Turkey Bash and Susan Keen Memorial races on the same weekend and the 7.90 Snowbird race.

10 (tie) – Paige Smith

Paige Smith found herself on the Top 10 List on several occasions last season. After winning six times in ten final round appearances, Smith locked herself in to the 2020 Top 10 List!
