Bottom Bulb Explosion Coming to Mid America Dragway

GEUDA SPRINGS, KS- The Bottom Bulb Explosion at Mid America Dragway is right around the corner, April 30- May 1, 2022! This can’t miss event is presented by Luke Bogacki of This Is Bracket Racing and Jon Maugans. It features two shots at $10,000 on Saturday and Sunday, $2,000-to-win Trailers and Hitches James Ramsey & Bob Maugans Memorial Race, $1,000-to-win Brower Inc Sponsored Gamblers Race, Team Challenge, and a Sunday morning Run for the Money.

And if you’re a Stock Eliminator or Super Stock racer, there is an extra $2K up for grabs each day to the winner!

Twin $10Ks

Saturday and Sunday will feature two $10,000-to-win races with $3,000 for the runner-up and $800 to the semi-finalists. The weekend entry will be $250 and the double entry weekend entry will be $350. If you’d like to just race one day, the single day entry is $150 or $250 if you want to double. There will be a buy back available for $100.

In addition, there will also be a lotto ticket available that will be open to all 2nd or 3rd round losers. The ticket is $1 and the winner goes straight into 4th round. There will be one entry for footbrake and one for trans brake.

Bonus Races

On Friday, there will be a $2,000-to-win Trailers and Hitches James Ramsey & Bob Maugans Memorial Race. The entry fee is $75 and there will be a buy back available for $30. Test & Tune will also be available on Friday night and will cost $30.

There will also be a Brower Inc Sponsored Gamblers Race at the conclusion of Saturday’s $10K. There will be no time trials for it and it will be $1,000-to-win. Single entry is free, and if you’d like to double it will be $60.

The Team Challenge will happen during the race. There will be four people to a team at $200 per team. 70% will go back to winner and 30% back to the 2nd place team.

Sunday morning will also feature a $10 Run for the Money Time Trial. 1st place gets $300, 2nd gets 15 gallons of Sunoco Race Fuel, and 3rd gets the potential bye run for the day. The $10K eliminations will follow.

Schedule

Gates open at 5pm on Thursday for parking. On Friday, gates open at 3pm with time runs at 5pm and eliminations at 7pm for the James Ramsey and Bob Maugans Memorial Race. Gates open at 8am on Saturday & Sunday with time run starting at 9am on Saturday.

The daily spectator fee will be $10 or $25 for the full weekend.
