Pelo Doubles-up at Galot Summit ET Points Weekend

Pelo, Synger, Hogan, Chavis, and Core claimed wins at Galot Motorsports Park’s Race #5 and #6 of their $5K Summit ET Bracket Series.

DUNN, NC- Race #5 and #6 of the Galot Motorsports Park $5K Summit ET Points Bracket Series is in the books. This past weekend, May 21-22, 2022 featured $5K Top ET, Footbrake, and Junior Dragster classes on Saturday and Sunday. The weather was hot, but with over 200 entries, the racing was hotter. See full weekend results below!

Race 5 Results

Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET

In Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET, Michelle Pelo and Richard Alford, Jr. faced off in the first semi. Alford dialed 4.75 agaist Pelo’s 6.53. Michelle took the tree at .016 and ran dead on with a 0, closing the door on Richard, who had a .025 light and broke out by running 4.733. In the second semi, Michael Paschal and Ken Clark came to the water box together. Michael dialed 4.66 and Ken a 6.38. Michael took a sizable advantage at the starting line and ran 4.671. Clark ran 6.385, but it just wasn’t good enough. Paschal has the smaller overall package and advances to the final round.

In the final round, Michelle Pelo dialed 6.52 and Michael Paschal dialed 4.65. Paschal took a mere .001 starting line advantage over Pelo, but ended up being in the way at the big end. Paschal ran 4.665, but Pelo ran dead on with a 0 to take the win in Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET.

West End Opera House Footbrake

In West End Opera House Footbrake class, Richard Synger and Jamey Caudill came to the line for the first semi-final round. Synger dialed 6.29 and Caudill dialed 6.55. Richard Synger got off of the line .043 seconds better than Caudill, and used it to run 6.306 against Jamey’s 6.558. Synger has the better package, and heads to the final round. In the second semi, Jamie Carroll and Michael “Moe” Cangemi looked across the starting line at each other. Carroll dialed 6.32 and Cangemi dialed 7.40. Jamie took a sizeable lead at the hit and ran 6.367 against Moe’s 7.425. Jamie Carroll had the better package and takes the semi-final win.

In the final round, Richard Synger dialed 6.28 against Jamie Carroll’s 6.30. Synger had a .021 reaction time and Carroll took the tree at .050. Richard ran dead on his dial with an 8, and Jamie ran dead on with a 1, but it wasn’t enough to beat Synger’s overall package. Your West End Opera House Food Brake winner is Richard Synger.

Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster

Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster was the final class. In the first semi, McKenzee Hogan lines up next to Lane Morgan. Hogan put up 9.00 on her dial in board, and Morgan put up 7.97. Lane got off of the starting line .029 seconds faster than McKenzee and ran 8.061, but McKenzee ran 9.042 and had the better package. McKenzee heads to the finals. In the second semi, Ethan Locklear and Brooks McMath faced off. Ethan dialed 7.96 and Brooks dialed 7.97. Ethan took a good starting line advantage and ran 8.004. Brooks broke out trying to make up for lost time, running 7.926. Ethan heads to the final.

In the final round, McKenzee Hogan dialed 9.00 against Ethan Locklear’s 7.97. This race was over at the starting line, as Ethan went red by .011. McKenzee kept it green and headed straight to the Broadslab Distillery Winner’s Circle.
