Stars and Stripes New Year’s Spectacular Results
Despite the rain and cold temperatures, Guajardo, Curl, Hammons, and Davis come away with big checks to end the weekend at No Problem Raceway.
Belle Rose, LA- The SPDC Raceshop Great American Stars and Stripes New Year’s Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering was a success, despite less than ideal conditions. After a smooth sailing Friday night gambler’s race, there were 200+ entries on the grounds of No Problem Raceway, and over $60,000 remaining to be paid out.
Promoters Gaylon Rolison and Britt Cummings had to combine Saturday’s and Sunday’s purses when the rain came and washed away Saturday’s racing action.
With the flyer out of the window, the new game plan was to pay $40,000 to top bulb, $15,000 to bottom bulb, and $4,000 to the junior dragster class, all to be contested on Sunday.
