READING, PA – On January 31, 2021, Super Comp & Top Dragster Racer Dave Stine lost his life in a freak ATV accident while riding with his wife Kara during a snowstorm. Dave was an avid racer and follower on the NHRA Division 1 tour and Mid Atlantic .90 Association. After his passing, his father-in-law Jeff Stricker contacted Mid Atlantic .90 President Rob Keister to put together one of the largest one-day payouts in Super Comp history of $10,000 presented by VP Fuels. With the help of a few other sponsors the first points race of the Mid Atlantic .90 Series became that event paying out $20,000 total to all the .90 class winners that day.

With a longer period of time on their hand, Jeff & Rob went hard to work to continue the event into its 2nd year for 2022. Rob & Jeff both received feedback from racers who were in attendance as well as some that were not on how to make the event even smoother for the racers. Once the feedback was given, they went to making the 2nd Annual Dave Stine Memorial one to remember as this would be a stand alone event.

With he help of VP Racing Fuels, AA Auto Salvage, Waynes Auto Body, DXI Construction, P&L Garage, Chris Lewis and the Southeast SG Series, Leahey Excavating, Bittersdorf Automotive, John Graham of Easter Raider Motorsports,  FCP Performance, JA Pest Control, Ron Riegel Race Engines, Dawn Mollichella Real Estate & Bob Kaiser Race Engines the event is set to pay $10,000 to all 3 of the .90 classes but, wait we’re not done yet. Big Oak Fuel and John Asta wanted to make Super Comp the premier class for the day by upping the stakes to $12,500 to win / $4,000 runner-up in the 8.90 class for a low $250 entry fee.
