1 – Ryan Barnes

Ryan Barnes wins the highest paying drag race of the year on Saturday to grab the #1 spot on the Top 10 List! Barnes parked his dragster in the winners circle of the SFG Promotions Half Million main event on Saturday night. He defeated the door car of Aaron Disinger in the final to capture the massive winners purse.

2 – Mark Simmons

Mark Simmons enjoyed a wildly successful weekend at the Top Eliminator Edmonton BIG BUX at RAD Torque Raceway in Canada. Simmons raced to a $40K runner-up on Saturday and returned to the final on Sunday where he emerged victorious in the $40K final.

3 – Cory Gulitti

Cory Gulitti won twice in the last week picking up $60K in winnings! His first victory came last weekend at the Micro Million where he took home the $10K victory. A few days later the Texas based superstar cashed for $50K at the SFG Half Million.

4 (tie) – Mike Barber

Mike Barber is quickly becoming the most dominate big money racer in the Northeast. In the last couple of years Mike has won $20K and up races on a consistent basis. This past weekend at the Independence Showdown Barber went to the semifinals in Saturday’s $20K and won Sunday’s $20K main event. He was also doubled in the quarterfinals both days!

4 (tie) – Nick Folk

Nick Folk kicked off the SFG Half Million week with a $50K victory in his Cobalt. Folk was the only door car main event winner during the weeklong event.

4 (tie) – Donovan Williams

Donovan Williams is quickly becoming one of the top bracket racers in the country. In the last year he’s won multiple big money events including a $100 grander and most recently a $50K last week at the SFG Half Million.

5 – Sean Serra

Sean Serra continues to showcase his talents at big money events after having a stellar outing at the SFG Half Million. Serra won a $20 grander and made the dragster final in the Half Million on Saturday night.

6 – World Footbrake Challenge Winners

The World Footbrake Challenge included a field of over 400 of the best footbrake racers in the country. Michael Beard kicked off the race weekend with a $5K victory in the Gamblers Race. There were three $15K races over the weekend which saw Edmond Ellison win on Friday, Chris Fitton on Saturday, and Randy Biddle Jr. claim the Sunday main event victory.

7 – $20K Winners

The July 4th weekend produced several $20,000 including Vince Musolino and Brock Moshier at the Independence Showdown and Mikey Bloomfield who won the High Roller Shootout for $24,000 at the SFG Half Million.

8 – Weekend Doubles

On the local bracket racing side, we saw a few double up winners over the holiday weekend. Stephanie Paz doubled up at Sonoma Raceway to claim the track championship and also won the King of the Track title. Cooper Chun lit’em up for the double at Bremerton Raceway winning both Top Bulb and Footbrake titles on Friday night. Matt Diamond parked his Mustang in the Amarillo Dragway No-Box winners circle twice over the weekend to land in the #8 spot.

9 – Brett Angles

Brent Angles had a big weekend at the Star Spangled Banger race where he won $7,500 and also earned the weekend points championship!

10 – Dave Connolly

Dave Connolly didn’t turn on the final win light at the SFG Half Million but he let everyone know he was there. After a semifinal finish earlier in the week, Connolly drove his wagon to the door car final in the SFG Half Million main event. His two late round finishes made for a profitable week.
