Staging Light Southern Doorcar Showdown to Invade Darlington

Make plans now to attend the Summit Racing Equipment Southern Doorcar Showdown presented by McCarty Auto Parts, Inc. April 13-16, 2023 at Darlington Dragway.

HARTSVILLE, SC- The Staging Light Summit Racing Equipment Southern Doorcar Showdown presented by McCarty Auto Parts, Inc. comes to Darlington Dragway April 13-16, 2023, bringing with it affordable, great-paying big money bracket racing for Top Bulb Doorcars and Lefthand-Steer Roadsters, plus No-Box racers. The main events will feature two $10Ks, and the Abruzzi Transmissions and Converters $20K on Saturday all for a weekend entry of just $400! In addition, there will also be a Thursday “Bracket Racer’s” Test & Tune, Friday night $7K Legendary 64 Shootout, and a $3K Saturday night Gamblers Race.

MotorManiaTV will be covering the action Fri-Sat-Sun, presented by Hot Shot’s Secret and Vickers Performance Transmissions. Also, Gunny Spence will be on the grounds with Malakai Prime Media providing additional event coverage!

Main Events $10K/ $20K/ $10K

Friday and Sunday, racers will have the opportunity to run for $10,000-to-win. On Abruzzi Transmissions & Convertors Saturday, racers will compete for $20,000. The gate weekend entry for all three days is only $400 which is a $130 savings over the single day prices. If you do want to get a single day entry, the $10Ks are $150 and the $20K will be $20. There will be a re-entry option if you lose first round. The $10K’s re-entry fee is $100 and the $20K is $150. See pay structures below.

No-Box Racers Welcome!

For the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday main events, a No-Box segment will be run separate, with a separate bye run, down to 1, earning the same round money as the Box main event. The No-Box winner receives a bonus and advances into the next round of the Box main event. The No-Box bonus for the $10K events is $500 and $1,000 for the $20K event. Bonus doubles if 32 or more in the No-Box segment. Single entries only in the No-Box segment. Doubles will run with the Box doorcars. “N” after dial-in honored to turn off CrossTalk if faster car. Sorry, no deep staging allowed.

Thursday “Bracket. Racer’s Test N’ Tune

Finally, REAL practice for Bracket Racers! All runs are handicapped. Dial-in every pass and practice in “race mode”, and keep running, “win or lose”! Prizes for Best Package, closest MOV, and more! Entry is $30 and will be run on Thursday from 4pm-8pm.

Friday Night $7K Legendary 64 Shootout

Friday night will feature a $7K Legendary 64 Shootout! Winner takes home $7K and runner-up will claim $1,000. There will be no buybacks and no doubles allowed. The entry fee is $250.

Saturday Night Gamblers Race

Saturday night will feature a $3K Gamblers Race! Winner takes home $3,000 and runner up will earn $1,000. $50 round money starts with 3rd round winners. The entry fee is $100 and double entries are allowed. There will be a $50 buyback if there are more than 90 cars.
