DragChamp Top 10 List

1 – Jason Mills

Jason Mills captures the top spot on the Laris Motorsports Insurance Top 10 List this week after winning on back-to-back weekends at Holly Springs Motorsports. A week ago Mills won $7,500 and followed with a $10,000 score on Sunday. Sunday’s victory was his 6th final round of the season at Holly Springs.

2 – Jake Hodge

The DragChamp Show podcast host Jake Hodge doubled up at the Jim Sweet Memorial race to claim the #2 spot this week. A week after his son Easton showed out at the NHRA Jr. Eastern Conference Finals, Jake put on a dominating performance of his own. Hodge jumped in Jeff Gregory’s Nova and beat his teammate Adam Cline in Friday’s final and continued his winning ways on Saturday where he cashed for $5K. Easton followed up his ECF victory with a $500 victory on Saturday in his Jr.

3 – ACE Summer Slam $20K Winners

The ACE Ohio team put on another great event at Dragway 42 last weekend. Although Sunday’s $20K was washed out by rain, Randy Scheuer and Nasty Nick Hastings cashed for $20K on Friday and Saturday respectively.

4 – Taylor Bowling

Taylor Bowling continued his winning ways after cashing for $5K at Crossville. Bowling has enjoyed a wildly successful month which started with a $50K victory at the World Footbrake Challenge. He then posted a $10K runner-up last week at Beech Bend to go along with the $5K victory this past weekend.

5 – Mitchell Hinton

Mitchell Hinton takes the #5 spot this week after doubling up at Milan Dragway. Hinton put his Camaro in the Super Pro winners circle on consecutive days to secure his first Top 10 showing.

6 – Brian Newport

Brian Newport wins $12,000 at Edgewater to land in the #6 spot this week!

7 – Shannon Seals

Shannon Seals grabs the lucky #7 spot after posting a $8K victory at Edgewater on Friday. Seals also made the quarterfinals in the $12K race.

8 – Seth Lancaster

Seth Lancaster sits in the #8 spot for the 2nd consecutive week after making five straight final round appearances at Baileyton Dragstrip. Although he’s 0 for 5 in those finals, it’s still impressive to see him making finals every week. While he’s enjoyed more success in the bottom bulb class, last week’s final came in the Super Pro class.

8 – Alli Doll

Two weeks ago Alli Doll drove to two finals at the NHRA D1 LODRS and National Open at Numidia. This past weekend she went the distance at Napierville Dragway taking the Stock Eliminator win at the D1 National Open. With her day job at Portatree, you can bet she’s been hitting the practice tree regularly and it shows.

9 – Bart Nelson

Bart Nelson sits in the #9 spot after pulling off the Texas 2-step. Nelson picked up the victory at Pine Valley Raceway Saturday night which came a week after winning at Xtreme Raceway Park.

10 – Jay Oakley

Engine builder Jay Oakley proved he can also get it done behind the wheel after racing to a win and a runner-up at the JEGS Super Quick series race at Kil-Kare. His fiance Ali Krack joined in the fun picking up her first win on Friday night in the Super Pro class.
