For six weekends, Music City Raceway and Beech Bend Raceway Park have partnered to give racers $5K weekends. Drivers compete in Tennessee on Saturday and Kentucky on Sunday for $5,000 to win in Super Pro.
GOODLETTSVILLE, TN – Six classes rolled through the staging lanes at Music City Raceway Saturday. The main event was Super Pro with a $5,000 top prize up for grabs. There was also tough racing competition in the other points classes: NHRA Super Gas, Pro Footbrake, Sportsman, Street Legal Trophy, and Junior Dragster Advanced.
Junior Dragster Results
The junior dragster finals came down to Alabama racer Camden Roberts and Kentucky driver Luka Gerametta. Gerametta ran dead on his 8.58 dial in, but Roberts had the reaction time advantage to take the win.
Street Legal Trophy Results
The finals of Street Legal was between Josh Bailey and Jordan Johnson. Bailey had the reaction time advantage with his .025 light, but Johnson ran three above the dial in to turn on the win light. Jordan Johnson is also leading the points in the Street Legal Trophy class.
Thomas Kleppin and Brody Walker staged up for the final round of the Sportsman class on Saturday. Kleppin used his .026 reaction time and 2 above the dial in pass to package up Walker’s .054 light. Kleppin uses this win to stay on top while chasing a Sportsman points championship.
Pro (Footbrake) Results
It was an all Tennessee final and a Ford versus Chevy match up between Roger Johnson, Jr and Brady Mase in the Pro class. Both drivers knew what their cars would do with dead on passes. Mase went dead on double zeroes with an .033 reaction time in his Camaro to take the win over Johnson’s .04 light and dead on 9 pass in his Mustang.
NHRA Super Gas Results
Another pair of Tennesseans, Steve Whitlow and Todd Senseney, ran in the finals of Super Gas. Senseney was a little behind at the start and ran .002 under the dial in trying to get to the finish line. Whitlow was .017 and dead on for a .0180 package to drive into the winner’s circle.
Super Pro $5,000 Results
William Hill from Estill Springs, Tennessee took on Tyler Sizemore from Boonville, Indiana for the Super Pro final round. Both drivers let go .01 on the tree and both ran under their dial ins. Hill was .012 and .0089 under, while Sizemore was .016 and .0083 under to pick up the $5K payday.
