Six Racers Win Big at the 2nd Annual Top Bulb 150

Broussard, Ashe, Rumley, Holloman, Sutton, and Lewis cashed in at the 2nd Annual BTE King of the Coast Series Top Bulb 150 Presented by David McMurtry Racing Engines.

GULFPORT, MS- The 2nd Annual BTE King of the Coast Series Top Bulb 150 presented by David McMurtry Racing Engines took place March 4-6, 2022 at Gulfport Dragway. The three-day event consisted of a $30K and $15K Main Event, $3K Gamblers Race, “Out of the Gate” Ghost Race, and $1K Alliance Race Wear Jr. Dragster classes on each day.

Friday Gamblers Race

After a major oil down and some minor down time, the Friday $3,000.00 Gamblers Race made it to 7 cars before the night was concluded. The race was then finished up after the Saturday 30K. Those 7 Drivers Remaining at that time were: Corey Glidewell x2, Todd Nations, Kyle Rumley, Mitchell Reaves, and Rowdy Yeates.

In the end, it was Kyle Rumley who picked up the win over Corey Glidewell in the Gamblers Race final round.

Saturday $30K Main Event

In Saturday’s $30K main event, Shallon Broussard got the win over Jordan Eaker.

The lone semi-finalist was Danny Paul.

“Out the Gate” Ghost Race

At four cars remaining in the “Out the Gate” Ghost race, it was Will Holloman, Jesse Bobo, Jason Sandrock, and Trampus Stewart left to battle it out. In the end, it was Will Holloman who picked up the final win light and took home the big check.

Saturday Alliance Race Wear Jr. Dragster

Aubree Sutton cashed in for $1,000 in the Saturday Alliance Race Wear Jr. Dragster class. Claire Russell was the runner-up.

Sunday $15K Main Event

In Sunday’s $15K Main Event, AJ Ashe claimed the win over Brad Clarke.

Thomas Holley was the semi-finalist.

Sunday Alliance Race Wear Jr. Dragster

In Sunday’s Alliance Race Wear Jr. Dragster class, Layne Lewis got the win over Zack Pearce.
