Jeff Taylor Clinches His 50th NHRA Wally at the NHRA Nevada Nationals

Jeff Taylor made history on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas, picking up his 50th NHRA National event Wally at the NHRA Nevada Nationals.

LAS VEGAS, NV – Jeff Taylor claimed his 50th National event Wally of his NHRA career late Sunday afternoon at the NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Taylor has been chasing that Wally for quite some time now, so it was exciting to see him finally capture it.

Joining him in the winners circle were Tyler Wudarczyk (SS), Leo Glasbrenner (STK), Ken Mostowich (SC), Chris Lewis (SG), and Aaron Steinkey (TD).

2022 NHRA Nevada Nationals

Competition Eliminator

Jeff Taylor defeated Jarrod Granier in the final round to pick up his 50th NHRA National event Wally. Granier had the starting line advantage, .035 to .079, but Taylor chased him down for the win running a 7.085 at 182 mph for the trophy.

Randy Jones was the semi-finalist.

Stock Eliminator

Leo glasbrenner

Leo Glasbrenner took home his 10th NHRA National event Wally after defeating Steve Wann in the final round. Both drivers nailed the tree at .003, but Glasbrenner picked up the trophy on a double breakout. He ran a 9.543 at 136 mph on his 9.55 dial-in.

Jeff Lane was the semi-finalist.

Super Stock

Tyler Wudarczyk took home his fifth NHRA National event Wally after defeating Greg Stanfield in the final round. Wudarczyk had the starting line advantage, .011 to .044, and on a double breakout was able to visit the winners circle. He ran a 10.688 at 113 mph on his 10.69 dial-in.

Justin Lamb and Terry Emmons were the semi-finalists.

Super Comp

Ken Mostowich parked his door car in the winners circle after defeating Gabriel Torres in the final round to pick up his fifth NHRA Wally. Mostowich had the starting line advantage, .008 to .018, and ran a 9.079 at 169 mph on the 9.05 index for the trophy.

Don Nichols was the semi-finalist.

Super Gas

Chris Lewis defeated Dave Holmes in the final round to take home his third NHRA National event Wally. Holmes had the starting line advantage, .017 to .032, but Lewis ran dead on the 10.05 index with a four to give him the trophy.

Ed Destaute and Dave Thompson were the semi-finalists.

Top Dragster

Aaron Steinkey defeated Jeff Koron in the final round to pick up his second NHRA National event Wally. Steinkey had the starting line advantage, .009 to .038, and ran a 6.850 at 194 mph on his 6.84 dial-in to make Koron mathematically ineligible.

Linzi Meserve and Mark Yaeger were the semi-finalists.

Megan Bohannon is a 24 year old Super Comp racer from Louisville, Kentucky. She races a 2015 American Dragster with a 648 Oakley Motorsports Engine. Growing up at the racetrack, drag racing is all she has known and never plans to give up on it.
