6/29/22 – Welcome to the DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 List presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance. Each week we rank the best Jr. racers across the country based on their weekly performances. Nominations are accepted every Monday evening on our Facebook page.

DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 List

1 – Grace Varner

Grace Varner grabs the #1 spot for the second consecutive week after winning $1,000 at Capital City Motorsports Park. This was her 7th final in the last 6 weeks and comes on the heels of our $5,000 victory last weekend.

2 – NHRA Western Conference Finals Champions

The NHRA JDRL crowned nine champions at the WCF on Saturday. The champions are listed below.

6-9: Oakley White

10: Aiden Rizner

11: Blaine Denunzio

12: Kane Kern

13: Justice Brown

14: Parker Stewart

15: Jamie Johnson

16-17: Graeme Rufenacht

3 – WCF Team Champions

Houston Raceway Park Team 1 won the WCF Team championship on Saturday. This is the third team championship for HRP and they won with a total score of 20 points. Thunder Valley Raceway Team 1 was second with 17 points while HRP Team 2 and Western Colorado Dragway Team 1 finished tied for third with 14 points. Of note, the HRP Team 2 only had 3 racers on the team but scored 14 points and finished 3rd!!!!! The team consisted of Kane Kern (Won), Mario Gonzalez (RU), and Gavin G-Wagon Fojt (Semi).

4 – Turbo Tate Hildebrandt

Turbo Tate Hildebrandt snagged the #4 spot this week after an impressive run over the last week. Prior to the WCF, Tate doubled up in Pueblo. He carried that momentum into the WCF where he raced to two semifinal finishes on the weekend. Tate also snagged a Wally after his team won the Team championship!

5 – Steve Rodgers

Steve Rodgers doubled up a Mooresville to grab a top five spot this week!

6 – Ava Miller

Ava Miller won twice on the weekend at Quaker City to land in the #6 spot.

7 – Sara Palmer

Sara Palmer raced to two wins and a semifinal finish over the last two weeks. The wins came at Jeffers Motorsports Park and Beacon Dragway.

8 – Mia Rybarski

Mia Rybarski continues to impress winning almost every time she shows up. Competing at Lucas Oil Dragway in INDY, Mia raced to the win in her age group on Saturday and then won the run off to claim the State Championship. She made another final round appearance on Sunday where she settled for a runner-up finish.

9 – Will Willard

Will Willard added two more final round appearances this past weekend to his already impressive season tally. Willard made the finals at Elk Creek which secured another Top 10 spot. This young man has won 12 times this year and was in the top 4 the last two months in the Racer of the Month standings.

10 – Jordan Suckow

Jordan Suckow makes back-to-back finals to close out the Jr. Racer Top 10 List this week. After a runner-up finish last week at Little River Dragway in Texas, Suckow got the job done on Saturday night to make the Top 10.
