Ten Racers Collect Wins at Mid Michigan Money Maker Series

Steckley, Aretakis Jr, and Young lead winners at the July Mid Michigan Motorplex Money Maker Series race.

STANTON, MI- Mid Michigan Motorplex held another one of their Money Maker series races over the weekend where No Box racers were put in the spotlight. The event on July 21-23, 2023 featured three-days of bracket racing and featured Box, No Box, and Junior Dragster classes. No Box paid $2K on Friday, $5K on Saturday, and $2K on Sunday. Box racers also competed for $1,200 on Friday, $1,500 on Saturday, and $1,200 on Sunday. Junior Dragsters were also invited in on the fun to compete on Saturday and Sunday.

Friday Results

No Box $2K

Will Steckley picked up the Friday $2K No Box final round win over Tom Bray.

Box $1,200-to-win

In Friday’s Box class, Katelyn Smith claimed the $1,200 win over Paul Wolf.

Saturday Results

No Box $5K

In Saturday’s $5K No Box class, Tom Aretakis Jr. earned the final round win over Russell Thompsen.

Box $1,500-to-win

Steve Mikus defeated Darren McChesney in Saturday’s $1,500-to-win Box class.

Advanced Junior Dragster

Molly Parish captured the Saturday Advanced Junior Dragster win over Austin Perrone.

Junior Dragster Second Chance

Coleman Hansen claimed the final round win over Isaac Mikus in the Junior Dragster Second Chance race.

Sunday Results

No Box $2K

Joel Young earned the Sunday $2K No Box final round win over Keith Grubaugh .

Box $1,200-to-win

In Sunday’s Box class, Rob Lutzke captured the $1,200 win over Lucas Fischer.

Advanced Junior Dragster

Molly Parish also picked up the Sunday Advanced Junior Dragster win.

Second Chance Junior Dragster

In Sunday’s Second Chance Junior Dragster class, Austin Perrone claimed the final round win over Molly Parish.
