Vincent Wins BIG at Gallstars & Stripes $100,000 Drag Race

Pfohl, Vincent, Cheney, McGlynn, McGraw, and Jackson collect wins at the GallStar Bracket Races GallStars & Stripes $100,000 Drag Race at Cordova Raceway. 

CORDOVA, IL- GallStar Bracket Races held their PBM Performance GallStars & Stripes $100,000 Drag Race powered by Fuel Factory on July 2-5, 2026 at Cordova Raceway. This 4th of July bracket racing weekend featured twin $25,000 races on Friday and Sunday, two $500-to-win Jr. Dragster Shootouts, No Box bonuses, and of course the Paige Pro Products $100K Saturday.

Unfortunately, weather prevented Friday’s $25,000 race from being completed. The weekend also crowned the Fuel Factory / Autoland Outlets KING OF ILLINOIS Points Program Champion, as Cordova marked the second and final event of the series.

Friday Jr. Dragsters

Jill Pfohl captured the $500-to-win Friday Junior Dragster class victory, defeating Mason Micetich in the final round.

Saturday $100K

Saturday featured the $100,000 Drag Race main event, where Brent Vincent and Josh Goike squared off in the final round.

After making the switch to a different ride, Goike battled his way through the field, earned a bye into the final, and proved he could be competitive no matter what he was behind the wheel of.

In the final, Goike turned on the red light with a -.005 reaction, handing the victory to Vincent, who was .008 on the tree.

The lone semifinalist was No Box winner Matt Cheney. Cheney was .009 and 8-thou under the dial, while Vincent was .005 and dead-on with a 4.

Saturday Jr. Dragsters

In Saturday’s $500-to-win Jr. Dragster final round we saw Frankie McGlynn pick up the win over James Pfohl.

Sunday $25K

Sunday featured a $25,000-to-win main event, where Jerry McGraw and Richard Briscoe squared off in the final round.

Both drivers battled their way through the field, with no byes remaining once the race reached the quarterfinals.

The semifinalists were No Box winner Kabren Jackson and Brian Folk. Jackson made an impressive run through the No Box side before falling to Briscoe in the semifinals. Jackson was .001 on the tree and 27-thousandths above the dial, while Briscoe was .017 and dead-on with a 9.

In the other semifinal, nearly identical reaction times and a double breakout decided the outcome. Folk was 3-thousandths under the dial, while McGraw was 2-thousandths under to earn the win.

In the final, Briscoe turned on the red light with a -.009 reaction, handing the $25,000 victory to McGraw, who was .027 on the tree.

King of Illinois Points Championship

Phil Bryant is your Fuel Factory / Autoland Outlets KING OF ILLINOIS 2026 Points Program Champion!

Midwest bracket racers were treated to back-to-back big-money weekends, beginning with the Byron Dragway Firecracker Bracket Nationals and followed by the GallStars & Stripes $100,000 Drag Race at Cordova Dragway. Racers who competed at both events earned points toward the KING OF ILLINOIS standings, with the top finishers taking home cash and prizes courtesy of Fuel Factory and Autoland Outlets.

After two action-packed weekends, Phil Bryant held off Shane Pope and Richard Briscoe to claim the 2026 KING OF ILLINOIS Points Program Championship and the coveted Bald Eagle Trophy!

Final Standings:

1st Place: Phil Bryant – 24 points
2nd Place: Shane Pope – 23 points
3rd Place: Richard Briscoe – 22 points

In addition, five lucky racers who attended both events were randomly selected to receive a $200 cash bonus as a thank-you for supporting big-money bracket racing in the Midwest. Congratulations to Glenn Dilday, Joe Schmall, Tucker Kanselaar, Brian Folk, and BJ Vangsness on being the lucky winners!
